BBE - 7 days and one week
Well I'll be damned... I've read the "what trance track was your first to listen" and a lot answered BBE - 7 days..... I could not remember what i did first hear, I thought it was the DarkTrance double CD.. until i got hold of the 7 days single.. OH MY GOD! IT WAS THE FIRST TRANCE TUNE I HEARD (on mtv?
)!!
And i can still remember the video, with the slim girl in the black outfit and a white logo on the center of her bra :P she simply gets soaken down into water and then morphes and "comes up" another place..
this feels weird...
well to actually get some point in posting this thread, I would like to ask juuust how many who heard "7 days and one week" as their first trance track..
and all your pro-trancers: what did the track mean to the whole trance society.. just another tune, or a big event that dragged ppl to the trance scene?
that was a pretty amazing ch00n...but im pretty sure mine was robert miles - children...i think u mite find more ppl. who had that as their first trance tune...
My first trance song was
Three Drives - Greece 2000
anotherway: well perhaps, but i saw the bbe tune first, and when i heard children afterwards, i already we're hooked (well of course, children helpet alot :P)
but what came first... x-files theme by dj bobo or children by miles
)
mos maan: its also a good tune, but obscura - out of grace has a lot of the same samples i think,,
i can't remember what the first one i heard was..
probably, PVD - we're alive..
or.. maybe.. back in the 80's some kraftwerk, technotronic, C & C music factory.. although, i doubt that counts.
I can't recall that BBE track, althouh i know i have heard it.
Greece 2000 - 3 drives is a good one too, got that on vinyl.
robert miles - children, i never heard for a long time, finally heard it a year ago, LOVE it, ordered the vinyl.
the song that made me fall in love with trance however, was, The Lost Tribe - Gamemaster..
oohh.. so nice, got that on vinyl coming to me too.
greece 2000 and lost tribe-gamemaster are indeed awesum...also check out digger-recalling 86...that is, if u'll haven't already...man oh man what a sweet ch00n that is!!!!
if you like those two tracks, and you like that one, then it must be good, i will have to check it out.
My first encouter with trance was a copy of Tiesto's Innercity Amsterdam set ...
and what an encounter it was ...
i STILL get happy memories listening to that one
cheerz
Heheheheheh yeah...
Tiesto at Innercity 2000 was my first set as well, that and his Trance Energy 2000 set. WOW! The first song that made me aware of the entire genre was yes Children but I didn't get fully into it until Tiesto (and even then I thought it was repetative boring etc) But I became hooked and I CANNOT go back.
i have a friend who is very musical minded whose 21. he likes indie rock kinda music mainly but bbe 7 days and 1 week he admits is absolute quality. its probly the only tune he likes that iws dance cos he h8s dance music. i love it 2 its gr8 and was 1 of those that started me on the path 2 i guess
yeah, tiesto rock..
i listened to Magick 6 this morning, and i am listening to live at Energy 2000 right now..

train...
cant say tiesto without (sub)urban train
The first trance i've heard was "Sven Vath - The Beauty and the Beast (Harlequin's Dance)" - the computer-made video with Harlequin traveling trough time and space
That was like 90' and the track was released in 1989
and still one of my fav's - awesome, really awesome. Later, "Master Boy" was also very "innovative"...and many, many more, including, of course, DJ Bobo
