Anyone into Hard Dark Techno?

Chris Liebings Evolution album has got to be one of my favourite techno albums. I also think the stuff he does as stigmata is awesome.
Ive also been getting into Matt M Maddox, Marco Remus, Sven Wittekind, Lars Klein, Robert Natus.

Stuff thats hard and fast, but without being overdistorted or turning into gabba.

robert natus - you did survive = tune

and i think he remixed some tune back in 2004/5 that I liked lots. it was kinda tribal but the remix made it hard AND tribal

Liebing back in the days where he'd play hard through to schranz at times was great.

Heh, remember myself closing the I Love Techno Outdoor festival with Marco Remus totally blowing his speakers seven 'o clock in the morning

Anyway, i like it sometimes but generally it's too hard and fast for me now. Everytime i go to see Rush for example i want to leave after 15 mins. That used to b different

i dont like maddox, remus, witte or natus. klein was ok with some tracks, but also almost every track sounded similiar to each other by him..

dark? rly? try ian lehman/dustin zahn/the attack people. for ex the attack people at kompute detroit.. my first livepa from those guys.. and thanks to this livepa i started to love their music.. its not so overdrived and as hard as fuck, but still dark.. a bit deep, love to hear it at night and in darkness.. btw their stuff isn't easy to find..

a bit weird that im writing bout this on trance forum but.. whateva

Liebing's Evolution is huge, american madness, fires of hell?, random process i pretty much like every track on it.

About Stigmata, Stigmata 8 B1 is a classic for me, totally insane track. I'm waiting the upcoming stigmata release (jan 08) wich is only by Andre Walter btw.

I think "Schranz" is the word you are looking for.

in some cases, however there is techno which is quite hard but not schranz. Dave the drummer, chris liberator etc are good examples.

Mmmm I agree. Saw Liberator just before Christmas, bloody awesome.

Some of Adam Beyer's stuff can get pretty tough too, Number In Between with Jesper Dahlback is my favourite.

To deadcityradio, have a look at The Horrist's work, I'm pretty sure that would suit you based on your description. One Night In New York City and Mission Ecstasy are a great laugh.

it's a little bit different but check out his track with Henrik B, Wombing. it's awesome in a pounding yet loop-techno way. Also sometimes Tom Hades work fits too.

Utter crap.

Will do, and I'll throw another recommendation back at you...Andy Slate's The Nightrider EP. I don't think I've ever found an artist who does percussion so well. The A Side, Pleasure On Me is the winner.
