this is six and 1/2 dozen of the other.
I cant tell you how excited I am to know that I am shaving somewhere between 2 - 60 cents off of my years average purchases.
But I guess if you are rich/financially comfortable beyond the average Canadian you can now afford even better and more expensive extravagances that further divide you from the rest.....Heres to saving 7 cents for every can of food for the poor shopper!
Happy New Year,
Hippie.
wow big fucking deal 1%
It's actually now been a 2% decrease in, what? 2 years?
So now I'm saving an average of 400 bucks a year compared to what I would have been spending 2 years ago with the Liberals in power (who promised to scrap the tax altogether 15 years ago)?
Politicians who keep their word? I'm cool with that.

And they've also reintroduced the tax-cut for the lowest income-tax bracket from 15.5% back down to 15%, retroactive to January 2007. In other words, their .5% raise on the original Liberal tax-cut was just completely undone. So people in that tax bracket should enjoy that. I don't know if that affects me or not... but people getting to keep their money is a good thing in my book.

Robin Hood may have stolen from the rich to feed the poor, but in the end, he's still just a thief
