does anyone actually use the 'quick words' thing on your cell phone when txting people?

i need this information for a scientific poll, because i write for a scientific journal of some kind.

You mean predictive text? Hell yes, all the time.

No matter how much time I gave it to learn my shenanigans, it failed. I never use it.

Posted by tubularbills on Jan-02-2008 06:43:

i've started using it more often. so yeah, t9.

but my phone sucks ass because when i go to switch from t9 to regular english, the only way to bring it back to t9 is to switch it to numbers, then symbols, then t9.

pain in the ass.

ps, t9 doesn't understand "TA"

Weight 4.6 oz (130 g)
Dimensions 4.64" x 2.08" x 0.78" (118 x 53 x 19.8 mm)

Its pretty damn sweet.

Can't wait to get the replacement though. the VX10000

Touchscreen outside, full keyboard like the env inside.

Doesn't yours learn words?

Mine does but it's developed a habit of writing H'll when I want to type I'll which is just starting to shit me now.

Posted by Rose on Jan-02-2008 09:54:

Nope! I've tried but usually it ends up spelling something I don't want and I just get pissed off at the phone and take off T9.

Posted by ScuL on Jan-02-2008 10:33:

n00bs :] t9 ftw

Posted by blacknoizybox on Jan-02-2008 11:07:

Posted by Ian on Jan-02-2008 13:01:

Yes. if you're writing proper english it's easy to use, and adding the odd word as needed takes seconds, and then always is available. i guess if u wr8 lyk dis it might b hard, m8. dis way iz lose.

Their habit of signing me up for services I never explicitly subscribed to drove me to switch.

anybody else realize that T-Mobile is about 60% cost of everybody else (sprint, verizon, at&t)... its not even close how much cheaper T-mobile is...

totally exclude all people who's work pays for their phones and dont care how much they cost...
