Which DJ has had the quickest rise to fame in 2007?

I think Deadmau5 and Marcus Schossow! I don't like Deadmau5's stuff because his tracks are so similar each and other.
Marcus Schossow is teh man! Love his productions & sets!

I think also Daniel Kandi, Tom Colontio and Mat Zo have a great year!

Whats your opinion?

Also Sander Van doorn

There's only one good Deadmau5 Thread on this forums, and it's this one:

in all honesty probably that chinese guy who got busted from dj mag poll. or DJ Dan as for all the people who seemingly didn't know who he was, they sure as hell did with their "who is dj dan" threads & questions

if it was producer id say deadmau5. he had a great year and prolly still gonna do pretty good in 08

as for dj im gonna agree that sander van doorn definently took that award

I like how he apparently thought no one would notice when some faceless DJ popped up in the number three spot. Although his scheme wound up failing, I suppose that, on some level, discussions like this are an indication of him having ultimately gotten what he wanted.

I'd say he encountered almost the same level of success on the DJ front. Take a look at his gig schedule, and you'll see he's touring just as much as any other major headliner.

sander.. he went from something like 115 to 16 or so... thats proportionally a HUGE rise in fame. and most of his fans would be those who appreciate his talents, rather than his infamy (eg tiesto/pvd/armin)

Posted by rizo on Jan-03-2008 07:41:

Deadmau5 as a producer and DJ IMO Friend enjoyed his set in Sydney and everyone in SF was surprised by him

Aly and Fila havent had much DJ gigs, last I checked it was a few ones in Egypt and Europe which really sucks cause I want to see them so badly in the states but in order for a promoter to bring them out they have to be bigger than that Hopefully 08 is a better year for them along with first NA/SF gig

SvD was pretty big in 06 already, DJ polls arent everything
