loading midi files into reason?.

hey guys i was wondering if it is possible to load midi files into the reason sequencer. if it is possible , how do i do it?

thanks

Yes, it is possible. I'd put money on there being a small section in the manual that instructs you to point to the file menu and clicking some sort of 'open' button.

Just a hunch.

File > Import midi file..

Quite easy if you tried.

Hey mate just a tip I wouldnt let people know you rarely use the manual, they will either flame you or wont help especially on something as easy as loading midi.

Although it may not read easy at times, when compared to a book, but you should spend a weekend going through the manual, honestly dude you'll kick yourslef after for not doing it sooner.

Plus you don't have to actually read it. Use the search and search for midi. Would have taken you a whole 2 minutes.

Trust me this isnt a dig or anything just some friendly advice as Ive been there, as we've spoke before about stuff like this (learning curves).

But really, not reading it cos you dont have to is wrong, you will defo have missed stuff out, i guarantee you, after you even read up on some stuff you think you know you probably learn to do stuff more quickly, or effciently, or even something new.

You really, really should read the manual.

Posted by lowski on Jan-09-2008 09:58:

this is gonna sound so dumb but.. what is the manual? is it the book that comes with reason or is it all the info in the search menu. when i need to find out things i would do a search on it to understand better. i did read the book that comes with reason, and i also read the ignite 2.5 book. but i still am left with questions sometimes

like is there a way to just compress a certain part of a input like just the low end and not te mid or high freq? i dont even where i would go or what to type in the search to find it. i kinda dont think its possible but i could be wrong , i meen i didnt even think you could load midis files in
