Niagara Falls

Is there anything to see at night time?

I'm going on Saturday. Just wondering if I should go early morning or in the afternoon/evening.

Also, anyone know if Fallsview Casino is near the Falls? I hear it's cheaper to bus it there, and then walk to the Falls.

At night... there's the Casino, which has two bars (Club 365 and Dragonfly - Dragonfly is a decent club but it's top 40 on Saturdays). There's also Rumors night club (less decent) a few blocks away (also top 40), a boat load of ripper joints, most of the Clifton Hill attractions (or rip offs as I like to call them) are open late, and the falls are illuminated at night.

The falls are about a block and a half from the casino.

I herd there is this big water fall there but it's kind of hard to find they put lights on it at night so no one falls over by accident.

i would go around 2ish so when u get there just after 3pm, you'll have an 1.5 hours or so to see it during the daytime. walk around check out the falls, and then go in for some food/entertainment. when u come out, it'll be dark and the lights will be projected onto the falls.

The Falls at night are beautiful, they have huge sodium lights that shoot colours out at the water. If you go to the casino, the falls are a comfortable 10 minute walk (providing it's not -100 degrees) away. There's the Table Rock Cafe right beside the edge, which has access to tunnels leading to the falls as well, but I'm not sure if that's open in the winter. Just up the street from the casino is Clifton Hill, which is a collection of attractions, museums, bars, haunted houses, etc...worth going once.

My advice is to go in the afternoon and stay until dark. If you can get on an 'on and off' tour, check out the whirlpool and, if you have a lady friend, the butterfly conservatory is always a panty-dropper.

If it IS cold, beware the mist....oh god, beware the mist.

Down by table rock is Victoria Park, they occasionally have shows/displays there.

And there's always The Sundowners and Mints if 'ballet' is your thing.

I believe there is still an arcade promenade in the base of the Skylon tower...and there used to be a really great aquarium, which Toronto is sadly lacking.

The old power station is cool to look at, and there's an old barge run aground on Goat Island which is pretty neat.

I don't tink the Maid of the Mist runs in the winter...

i hear sundowners is THE strip joint to hit in niagara and offers "extras". i havent been but wouldnt mind checking it out to see what all the hype is about. i never seem to have time to go there whenever i am in niagara.

The Downers IS the place...I've done three 19th birthdays and 2 bachelor parties there...they used to have 260 girls on the floor at any given time, and they are nice dancers - none of this skeezy Brass Rail nonsense. You can check them out HERE .

We rang in the New Year at Niagara Falls. Two of the very best strip clubs right next door to each other. Start with Sundowner and for more action go to Seductions. Lots of the beautiful girls at Sundowner are all originally from Montreal (great lesbo shows).

this info is all completely true
rumors is usually full of underage American girls who are way to drunk and have hotel rooms
Sundowners is the strip club to go 2
dragonfly is the club to go 2

during the summer walking the strip/falls is pretty good but winter time I wouldn't plan to do it

fallsview casino is the better casino but a little more pricey, but very strong drinks (so u get drunk and waste money)
but don't play poker there unless you are an actual poker player (those guys play there for their actual income)

if your with a girl do one of the many haunted houses lol

I loooove Fallsview
Went there for new years (again)
Go in the afternoon/evening... the atmosphere is best
I think they only do fireworks on Friday and Sunday... but the lights show is every night
GO TO THE GRAND BUFFET for dinner - it's on the casino floor and it's the yummiest selection of life
Take the north exit of the Fallsview resort and you walk straight down to the falls

lol I'm way too into this place
