Yes, the great Paul Van Dyk is coming back to town. Is anyone else here excited about this or are most of you guys not fans?
Liquified, in your upcoming events thing it says to be announced for 2/09 at wetbar. When are you going to announce that one?

why during finals??
oh well...another time
What kind of finals in March?
i'm on quarters at gwinnett tech
Should I be worried about tickets selling out soon? I haven't heard much talk about this one. It will be great though. How come it went from being at a big place like the Tabernacle last year to back at Opera? Tiesto went from the Tabernacle to the Trade Center with 5000 people.
Not a fan? My license plate reads VAND1T

He was awesome at Tabernacle. I mean that was one of hell of a show. Too bad Opera is a total shithole.

Yeah that show at Tabernacle was certainly worthy of the number 1 for 2007. God that was amazing. Booooo Opera!
lol, 18, and you call yourself a fan. I dunno, mine is somewhere around 30, I used to keep a list but I gave up.

Is it too late to get out of the deal with Opera? Have it at Peidmont Park.

Catch every regional (not just local) show possible. Also doesnt hurt that I have hit as many NYC and Miami shows of his as I can. I have been seeing Paul for 6 years now. During some of that time I was down on money so I just made the ultra-budget road trips complete with sleeping at rest areas right next to the police car.
There are a few people in Atl that have seen Paul many times out of state. Pings LeeAnn and Scott. Heck, I have seen them a few times at random PVD shows like one in NYC Feb 2007 (brrrrrrr it was cold)
About Opera, Paul has always liked the space of 1150 and usually throws down some of his better sets there. Granted the Tabby show was amazing Paul will still lay it down right for ATL at Opera. Take it from someone who has seen him enough in many cities, this upcoming show will be stellar.
During the height of my insanity, I would do PVD back-to-back-to-back shows. Starting in Boston, then to NYC, then to Philly. I drove with a friend to DC one Thanksgiving for a massive rave at the Armoury with PVD in it. In the late 90s, PvD had a bi-monthly residency at Twilo where he would play at least six hours, which I never missed. For his residency anniversary one year he played ten hours.
I use to joke to my friends I probably made PvD enough money to pay for one of his synths. Them were the days... Too bad PvD and me lost our edge.
I have my share of PvD over the years also. I've even flew to a couple of West Coast shows.
PvD is the one the brought me here!! Matter of fact I think that's how I get to meet Scott, Brent and numerous other people on TA. Not that PvD is not worth the money to go see, but It's just not the same going to PvD anymore. I think Scott and Brent is right, I think we just lost our edge.
The memories of the old PvD parties will always stay with me. PvD has done his job in my life, maybe it's time for him to influence other young people's life
Wow, and I call myself PVDfan. haha. You guys have been living the dream. I wish I had the money and time to go and follow djs around the country. That would be amazing.
Since I haven't heard much excitement over this show and it has been overshadowed by the Underworld show, I wanted to ask if anyone is planning on going to this besides me?
im in! missed him last year
