just curious

the music discussion seems pretty dead

Posted by tubularbills on Jan-06-2008 00:08:

yeah kinda

Posted by Fast Turtle on Jan-06-2008 00:11:

yeah, there was a long time, until maybe 2006, when it was still kind of cool, and a lot of people were saying it was dead, but i thought it was closer to elderly

but now i think it's dead like disco

Posted by Frenchie on Jan-06-2008 00:14:

Yup, depending on who it's from. I love bringing out old sets and such.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Jan-06-2008 00:22:

Almost exclusively for nostalgic purposes only.

Posted by lacksesepsotygh on Jan-06-2008 00:23:

certainly

Posted by wizniz on Jan-06-2008 00:25:

yes i do from time to time... if you look on beatport it seems as if it is evolving in some cases.

i predict it'll come back for a bit in a few years.

Posted by st3nc on Jan-06-2008 00:26:

Just invest in Lady Sovereign

shes clearly down with teh ish

Yes. it's still good, but it's harder to find the good stuff than it used to be, and it's become a dirty word. if you look past the shit armin, tiesto, ferry, pvd etc are playing now, and ignore the rest of the shit, there's some good stuff. Most people now who bash it so much are the people who we said were killing it a couple of years ago

Posted by Krypton on Jan-06-2008 00:43:

I moved over to progressive everything. Progressive trance, house, chillout, and ambient!! THe DRONE ZONE rocks!!

I like slowly progressing flows with a soft beat throwing in dubs and weird random shit.

I still like breaks.

Posted by st3nc on Jan-06-2008 00:44:

is Di.fm still the shit???

ill be honest i lost my trance abilities as of recent...ive just been recycling the olde hits

Posted by Ghost Raver on Jan-06-2008 00:46:

No I don't. I just grew out of it I guess, found something else to love.

I think so, they still play some good stuff, and they're diversified having as many genres as they do..

at the moment the only tme i listen to trance is because i made myself a pump up mix to listen to before tennis, and its trance, otherwise not really, except for the occasional The future sound of Egypt episode.
