WTF's up with my keyboard?
This is my first keyboard (Alesis Photon 25) and I've had it for like 2 years.
Recently out of nowhere the keys I was pressing were NOT matching the keys on my program (FL Studio). Its only off by like 2 keys but it makes the keyboard essentially useless as I'm not trying to train my brain to compensate for the difference. (its not as easy as you may think).
Has this happened to anyone before? Is this a sign of time to buy a new keyboard?
I have 5 buttons I've never used before. "midi channel" "midi program" "control assign" "preset" & "global" but my keyboards always said "Pr01" on the display and it says the same now.. just that it seems like my keyboard thinks I'm pressing keys that I'm not.
Anyone think this is fixable or is it time to dish out $$ for a new keyboard? Thanks!
read your manual and learn how to set everything to default?
Many keyboards has this transpose function (wich does what you described). You've probably accidently hit a few buttons to activate it. I'm prety sure that this is your problem. However, since I don't know your keyboard I can't help you much more. Read the manual about the transpose function and I think you'll be allright!
