Who is all in Jacksonville, FL?

I am new to trance and am trully addicted to tranceaddict. I live trance: drive around with it, workout, chill out, party, even have sex to it. I live in Baymeadows, work at the beach and workout in OP. I am probably one of the oldest addicts, I am 35. So far I have only attended Oakenfold, Dave Ralph and BT besides smaller DJs such as Robert Goodman. If your from around here say hello.

wassup val!! i was born n raised in jville but i live in los angeles now. grew up in arlington. there isnt much of a trance scene there. sucks there is someone else on tranceaddict that lives in jville. his name is bobbo.. i dunno if he post anymore. how are the clubs there now? i moved 2 yrs ago. have they gotten any better? i used to go to.. damn i forgot the name. on arlington expressway (sp?) an afterhours there. and to 618 downtown. that was it. and they basically sucked hehe

I have lived my whole life in Jacksonville, wish it was LA for the concerts and scene. I have only been into trance for a year now. As far as the nightclubs, it still is Jacksonville but I think they are getting better and more seem to be popping up. 618 is now DV8 where I go most, The Edge in Arlington has reopened under a new name and cleaned its self up quiet a bit, I also visit Club 5, The Ocean Club at the beach which is a nice size with a nice dance floor, Something new in Arlington I haven't been to yet is "Evolution" (To the general public cruising by, the 14,000- square-foot building that sits in the 8000 block of the Arlington Expressway looks like nothing more than an abandoned building. But once the clock strikes midnight each Wednesday through Saturday, there�s nothing further from the truth. For inside the walls of Evolution, hundreds of late-night partiers get their groove on to the sounds of house, trance and drum, and bass beats, while experiencing the kind of electric vibe that can only happen when the rest of the city sleeps. With resident DJ Kinesis at the helm, expect to welcome in the dawn while all the time wondering where the hours went. Bring your light sticks and body glitter, but don�t bother with the fake ID as no alcohol is served.) With The Super Bowl comming you see improvements all over town. The beach is slowly starting to look like a new town. I like your homepage!

ahhhh yeah evolutions that what it was called. its far from new. and it def looks like an abandoned place w/ the windows all painted black .. that whole center where it is looks abandoned lol. i always had fun there. i had heard the edge was a pretty nice venue but i had never been there. something i miss about FL is the 18+ afterhours. u dont have that out here. everything is 21+ and im 21 so it doesnt matter but it must suck for all the 18+ kids here. i used to go to club 5 w/ one of my gfs on ladies nite i think it was thurs or something. wed get in free then our guy friends who were 21 would give us their wristbands and we'd get them and ourselves free drinks all nite. then they started handing out blue cups to the girls at the door so wed have to go around snagging blue clups when people left them on tables and go wash em out. LMAO damn we were cheap.. not that we were suposed to be drinking anyways. they played shitty electronic music in the main room and then hip hop on the side. its nice to be 21 and not have to sneak around anymore. it was fun though

The clubs here..... SUCK!! Eyes, evos used to be all about the drugs but they've cleaned up a lil. Dj kinesis(john) has alot of talent is tryin to turn the city around a lil. But most of the people here are into the music just for the drugs and it kinda ruins it for the rest of us. Once i get a lil older ill start to spin at some of the local clubs if the "scene" turns around. But how it is now, its nothing to be desired, its all about the E for 90% of the people who club in jville...

I work at Marker 32, 1/3 east of San Pablo on Beach Blvd and our INsurance is with Blue Cross. No I don't spin but for the fun of it I am looking into different softwares to see what I can do (it is not quite that easy)SOnix Soundry Sound Forge seems to work well. That would be good if you contact me about an upcoming event. I agree we suck here and have so few. I was looking forward to Darude and the others and then they canceled. I can but I don't need the E for the trance. With a certain pot I have had lately it makes the trance 100% deeper and better even though I don't need it. Today I was laying on the beach with the trance blasting in my ears and I even fell asleep like in a trance. I woke up when the CD stopped. I keep hopeing someday things will get better here, having lived here all my life I can say things are already 100% better than they have been in many ways. Thanx for responding and talk to you soon. Yeah, I too live in Jax, well, OP to be spicific. BoOoOoO...The only real problem is that ummm, well, Im prolly to young to hang out wit yall...But If I do recall, Bobbo has offered to chill with him @ BT...Hehehe...But yeah, Im turning 18 in Feb.
Anyways, yeah, I live in OP, and go to OPHS...Next year Ill be a senior...Whooo HOooo...Oh and yeah, Ive been to Evo's once, I was sooo damn lucky to get in, the only ood thing that It was sooo packed, the big black guy, wasnt even checking ID's. He just looked at me put the X, and let me in, I was happy....lol...yeah...Im done...BOOM!

My connection with OP is I workout at 24 hour Fitness on Wells and we (Wolfson) kicked OPHS's ass in marching band many years ago. You will age enough soon, what was horrible for me two weeks before I turned 19 they raised the drinking age from 19 to 21 so I had to wait another 2 years. When I was 17 the only fun to have around here was the mall, putt putt and sitting around a fire; things have changed

Nope we havent met, theres been no big events in a while. I've been kinda outta the scene for a while. I havent had the money or time..

Ive been practicing on the tables alot and when i get new equipment and actually try to spin ill be able to hang with most djs in town easily...

John(Kenisis) spin at evos and alot of the other joints around town. hes good, has good taste but he caters to the drug related side of the scene. Not hating on him since hes the biggest elec. name in jville and im not.. yet.. haha right :]

But we'll have to hook up sometime soon tho..

we rarely have our moments, but sometimes baby anne or someone spins by us....in feb we had baby anne and ak1200....oh icey also comes around from time to time

I wouldnt be caught dead there for them. I heard once baby anne was spinnin and she was rollin so hard she feel back and almost passed out. Thats pathetic and i would laugh at her ass.

haha, i dunno about all that....i saw baby anne for a tiny bit at ultra and i must say i was disappointed...i saw her in tally once and she was pretty damn straight....saw her another time too, but i don't count that cuz i was drunk off my ass and can't really remember anything except dancing like a moron

I felt the same about Dave Ralph his music he spun was good however except for one song it sounded nothing like anything I have heard from him before. Thanx for the welcome to Florida forum, I thought you would have more in Tallahassee since it has so many young and intelligent people. I guess they just don't have good taste, maybe prefer grunge, garage or metal I know in Jacksonville we like southern rock as well as other shitty music. Seems like they could have big stuff in Gainesville which could please Everybody between Jacksonville and Tallahassee. I keep my ear and eyes open waiting for something to come around. Until then I just need my CDs and close my eyes. Sunday my friend and I were watching videos I downloaded and we watched DJ Sakin's Nomanland 5 times. I am not sure if we loved the song that much or if the pot was taken us over.

i get ya, my passion as of late has been breaks (sikora from atlanta, oh man, i went nuts)....i have two sides to taste....if i listen to a cd or something, then i listen for the tech side of it...if i'm in a club, i wanna dance, so make me move but we can't compare baby anne or icey to pvd or any gods like that, so for north florida it'll have to do for now

interesting.. the only one of my friends i keep in contact w/ still from fl told me about the guy who runs evos getting busted. cause one of our friends was involved w/ that too. SUCKS but he shouldve known better cause hes been so close to bein busted so many times. anyways maybe that place will get new management and turn itself around cause its a pretty dope venue i love the warehouse feel to it!
