Help with Reverb fx

I am trying to create a reverb effect on my bassline where the reverb only kicks on as a note is released. So basically the bassline won't lose it's phatness and a cool little reverb effect is heard after each bass note.

I have seen this done with "fruity verb" maybe?? But I use Cubase so if anyone knows how to do it (or knows what the hell I'm on about), any help would be sweet...

I'm assuming you know how to sidechain.
Create an FX channel, use a reverb effect for it. Then apply a sidechain compressor after the reverb in the inserts of the FX channel. Use the bassline as a trigger for the compressor. Turn up the FX send of the bassline.
