Question Are there Any Hidden Gems in Toronto ??

I was wondering if Im missing out on any cool venues in Toronto outside the ones that are always advertised here like Guv, Sound Academy, Footwork, TiL and Mod? Since i don't live in the city I feel like i might be overlooking something.

I'm always looking for new things to do and to meet new people. It doesn't even have to be after-hours or bring in international talent it just needs play EDM and not top 40.

TOI bar is wicked on Fridays - it's a small space so it feels like a good party every week. Run by fukhouse.

Revival has hosted some really good house parties and I find the vibe at those parties is unlike a lot of other places like your average night at footwork or similar - the music lends itself to a genuinely happy vibe, one that doesn't strike me as largely being fueled by substances. It's just a lot of people that looooove house music.

Chinadoll was the spot or a little while, on College. Also, Pur Supper Club was a cool spot, but jumped the shark in my circle pretty quick.

hahaha, how is this place suppose to make any money? from what i remember, 99 sudbury was basically a dirty warehouse on some random dead street on the west side of toronto..... now they have a spa and fine dining thing there? doesnt make too much sense

College Street Bar has their weekly Mixed Bag sessions there on Fridays. If you're into Funk/Breaks, it's a very nice way to spend Friday night without paying a penny.

99 Sudbury is a large building with a variety of different suites with mixed usages (film studio, restaurant, storage, offices).

There has always been a restaurant at 99 Sudbury. Queen West is an up and coming area - I suspect a spa would do quite well.

Box of kittens is a semi-invite only thing - very small parties, everyone knows each other, rotating locations around the city. Jamie Kidd, Hal Wong and Mike Gibbs are the regulars AFAIK...I havent been able to make it to one yet
