Somethin I Want to Know About Returning TV Shows
So some shows, like late night talk shows are returning to TV, despite the writer's strike. But, if people like John Stewart, Stephan Colbert, Conan, etc. are back on TV making jokes and such, who's writing that stuff?
Any of their staff that are not members of the WGA and are mildly amusing, I imagine.
Letterman has his whole writing staff back as he came to an individual agreement with the WGA.

So maybe it would be possible for me to submit a few jokes of my own?

All of the people you've listed have made careers out of comedy. Hell, O'Brien was a writer for SNL (I think, right?) and The Simpsons. That, plus staff members who aren't part of the WGA as Rob mentioned, would provide for at least some sort of "writing" staff at this point. They're not just a face, they can write their own jokes if they need to.

| Returning to late-night television Monday for the first time since the Writers Guild of America strike forced them off the air in November, Stewart and fellow Comedy Central fake-news purveyor Stephen Colbert had to face the cameras (and the audience) without their writing staffs. |

Yeah - all of the shows that have come back that I've caught have felt pretty dicey as far as quality.
The Daily Show and Colbert Report in particular have, at times, seemed to struggle.

conan has gone totally apeshit without the writers and so far it's amusing but the wackiness is going to get old real fast if the strike continues.
leno has been his usual unfunny self with substandard bookings reflecting the strike most conspicuously. colbert and stewart are struggling.
letterman rocks as always.
