Hotel Thursdays

So I went to hotel last night spur of hte moment thinking it would be like every other time I've been. Apparantly its 10 bucks to get in now, on top of which you still pay 7 bucks for like a mini-sized drinks. The new set up sucks the DJ is like way high up in a corner. It was way better before when they were on floor level. What the fuck man, that spot used to be pretty decent for a thursday night.

Hotel has ALWAYS been $10 to get in.

The just didn't charge it most nights in the summer as it's harder to get people indoors then.

its not in a corner. its right in the middle sandwiched between two bars. but i do agree on the height thing. the only good thing about having the dj booth where it is now is random people dont go in the booth any more because they cant walk behind the bar. more room for the dj now.

and like evan said, hotel has always charged $10 cover ever since they started connected thursdays. they only didnt charge during the summer when people would rather go to a patio.

I've been to hotel like 3 times and i always had a good time, it is a little pricy for drinks.

The reno's make so much more sense, the place looks/feels twice the size (rather than a giant hallway).

And the $10 easily becomes $5 when getting on a number of the promoters guestlists.

Makes sense, there always was people just going in behind before

I think the booth would have been better on the other side of the room though.. would feel more open IMO.

but overall, i like the renos. Looks good, feels bigger and sounds better!

you are correct. well, the booth itself will not be lowered since it cant because it is built on two of two bass bins (thats the reason why the booth is so high in the first place). they will be doing something but im not sure if i am allowed to say what exactly. i'll just leave it at that.

That's pretty standard for all nightclubs in toronto.

$6-8 for bar rail

$4.50-6 for domestic beer

$6-9 for import beer.
