Christian Paduraru

So awhile back I heard a dj drop the tune, Cristian Paduraru - Made in Wishland and fell in love with it instantly. Recently I've been listening to a lot more of his stuff and I'm finding he makes a ton of good tracks. I'm just wondering if anyone else ever listens to his records or might know of some artists that are similar to his style.

he's extremely prolific and his label releases everything (even one of mine) i don't like them all, but the fact that there are so many means I can always find one

i play a few of his records, probably my favorite is "born again" for its simple, soothing quality

i like that he is very conceptual about his tracks and seems to view them as tools for sets

when i dj at least, i think conceptually like that, for instance, i might need a track that is warmer than the previous track, or a track that is more introspective, etc and cristian's tracks sort of cater to that

the problem is maybe a few of them are a bit underdeveloped or one-dimensional because of that committment to basic concept

I think he holds the record for the most released tracks. I see some every day on the new releases....

I ignore everything he puts out at this point unless it comes hand recommended to me from someone whose taste I respect.

There is so much utter drivel out there with the name Christian Paduraru attached that it's not even worth wading through the immense amount of shit to find one record that's even mediocre - there are maybe 3 tracks with his name attached to them that I could actually say I "enjoy", only one of which I've played with any regularity.

Couldn't've said it better.

He's an extremely nice guy too.

+1

If he focused on quality rather than quantity, he might get somewhere...but at this point the dude really needs to step away from the studio for a bit.

And it's not just his tracks - it's the unbelievable amount of absolutely shit remixes he releases for seemingly no reason.

Albeit, most of the tunes I've enjoyed from him (and the only one I love to play) are remixes of his tunes (thanks Adam! ) - but honestly, how many Christian Paduraru remix samples must I be subjected to in a given week?

FFS, give it a rest for a bit.
