Unhappy Live sets died with Oakenfold.

I mean its hard to find good livesets with crowd cheering and energy these days.

Okay.

meh...sets not recorded straight from the mixer are hit or miss.

Sometimes hearing the crowd reaction to a bomb is amazing - gotta love the "FUCK YEA!", but hearing those whistles and "whoo's!" all set can also kill it, very easily.

"Nice one brutha...I SAID NICE ONE!"

I've long had a fantasy of violence against whistle-blowers.

Sasha & Digweed at Bonaroo has some awesome crowd noise. Best part is "fuck yeh FUCK YEAH!" during Park It In The Shade

Digweed's Essential Mix from Manchester last year has some great crowd noise too.

I'm guessing he's referring to the crowd noise during most of the sets he played during the Essential Mix World Tour back in 1999.

For some reason I always imagine outdoor venues when I hear crowd noises in sets...

Ya man thats what I implied. You made me realise one thing.. its not Oakie who killed live sets.. its the crowd! We the people.
