This Thursday, January 17, Traffic Events gets intimate with Guns�n�Bombs. Johnny Love will be stopping by The Purple Lounge to throw down a special mix of electro, disco, bass-heavy techno and whatever else he can dish out. Our good friends Clovis and Bas will be setting the mood with a special three hour tag team set. The Purple Lounge is located inside The Standard Hotel in Hollywood. The lounge entrance is located inside the restaurant to the left of the hotel lobby. The event is Free, but you must RSVP to attend. We hope to see you there!

No clue what Johnny Love plays other than the provided description, but me and bas will be playing good shit till 12. Should be fun, if you've never been to the spot, go into the Standard's cafe, down past the bar and make a right towards the restrooms. The door on the left leads into the purple lounge, where Richard (Traffic Events) had his birthday party in December. It's a really cool space that probably doesn't get to have much good music that often, so I'm looking forward to dropping some tunes in there.

Guns 'N' Bombs is a collaborative production effort between 2 guys (Johnny Love and Filip something or other)...I believe they produce pretty electro-rock type stuff. They recently got signed to Kitsune (pretty big French electro label) and apparently one of their tracks/remixes was a big tune last year. Personally I've never heard of them, but then again I haven't really been into anything electro for about 3 years.

Nice little Schwa ray Richard had going there last night. Pretty impressive for a Thursday night! Got there around midnight and the place was respectably packed.

I've eaten in that restaurant before and had no idea that there was a club stuck in there, lol.

I just missed meeting Bas & Clovis by a couple of minutes. Damn; All that hate I had brought for you guys...and no one to vent it on.

N00b...you missed all the fucking good music.

We actually had a massive dinner after our set...it was so awesome. Their steak & eggs is fucking fantastic

Yah, the food is pretty good there as I recall.

Guns & Bombs played a lot of older stuff. But all older tunes I liked, so it was all good.

Tried to make it for your guys set, but I was at the Cornelius show downtown at the Disney Theater and it didn't let out til 11:30p. Incredible venue! Interesting show.
