That was really dumb, he didn't act crazy at all.

All he said was "you know" "help" and "do something" the entire time. What a waste of a few minutes, I thought that was going to be entertaining.

What I find funny is that the fundamental beliefs of scientology are really no more crazy or outlandish than those of any other religion.

I'm certainly not defending scientology or trying to attack other religious beliefs. I just think it's amusing that people find this 'religion' strange and laughable but are accepting of the stories, lore and tradition of the other living religions of the world.

The real problem with any religion is the fundamentalists (like Tom Cruise). These tend to be the people that will go to extreme measures to spread and grow their system of religious beliefs.

I say believe whatever you want to. Just don't push it down my throat. I'll never be at your front door telling you that there is no such thing as god...

If you feel that Tom Cruise not going on a vacation to supposedly 'make the world a better place' is such a noble act, worthy enough of joining the Scientology movement, take a look at what Mother Theresa and her nuns did for helping the poorest of the poor and the most unwanted of all, then consider whether on the scale of positive contribution their actions do not far outweigh this media celebrity's PR stunt.

Mother Theresa and her nuns devoted their whole lives to the helping of the people in the most desperate conditions, sick and dying old beggars on the streets of India and orphaned children who no one wanted; they lived among them and cared for them daily with their own hands. If you feel that someone's actions (which are sometimes only supposedly) geared toward 'helping people' provide a worthy enough cause to join any religious or sectarian movement, then at least judge them on the true good actions and real positive difference they made, not on just some gibberish talk... remember, just words are cheap!
