There's a ghost in my house

It was about three Sunday's ago at about 3 in the morning...i was wide awake in my bed thinking the best way to get sleep is through suicide. But, I went downstairs to see if there was any meletonin left in the medicine cabinet. As I scrummaged through the area wide awake for the capsule I began to hear whispering. I turned around and looked to see if my mom, sister, or father, were around. I was alone. So I went back to it. The whispering of words I couldn't make out came back. I turned around and a woman glided quickly across the floor facing me. I was scared out of my mind!!! The whispering stop and I went back to my room to find myself fetalized in my bed for the next several hours with my heart racing.

After several days I had gotten over it and just claimed it to being a hallucination when I was walking down the hall in the upstairs of my house and she appeared in front of me where I walked right through her.

The next time a saw her...a week later...I was walking up the stairs only to notice she was walking down them. I quickly turned in the other direction.

I saw her one last time that day staring at me through my window on a stormy night downstairs near the kitchen.

What does she look like?
Black hair, white dress (typical ghost clothing. lol) Never have seen feet. She is translucent and very white...she emits her own light.

Any ghost experts anywhere on here? Anybody else had a ghost experience before? It sure is scary but interesting at the same time.
I just don't know who she is.
Send me feedback please!!!

Did someone pass away in that house? If so, that's GOT to be it... I don't believe in ghosts but, this is USUALLY the first question asked when this kind of topic is brought up.

I used to live in a haunted house. At night we would hear a baby crying in the attic but the oldest person in the house was me and I was 13 years old. Then on really freaky nights we would hear footsteps running arround and banging in the attic and running down the stairs. We moved out after like three months of living thee cause it was too scary.

my neighbors house is like 100+ years old and they have seen things like that before, when I was like 13 i was babysitting their 8 year old kid and like she was asleep in the next room, and then I heard noises on the other side of the house, when i went it there I some something really quick, and a bunch of books and junk on a shelf in there were all over the floor. none to less i was totally freaked, i got the balls to tell them about it when they got back, and they knew about it, i thought they were bullshitting me but they were totally sencere and they said it had been there for a long time, so now i am like totally freaked about there house. like i guess they have seen its face and junk and it is an old farmer guy or something weird huh ???? Like you should see their basement too it is about 6 feet tall and it is like carved out of the ground, the whole place freaks me out hardcore.

Well I don't think I've ever had an experience quite as interesting. But I remember 2 summers ago when I had just moved into a new apartment, where a bunch of old people lived. That first night, I heard voices coming from the living room and I though to myself, oh must be my parents, so I get out of bed and walk calmly to the living room only to find it dark and no one was in there. I stopped dead in my tracks and ran like my ass was on fire back to my bed. I'm pretty sure the tenants who used to live there died of old age. I always see postings in the lobby bulletin of another tenant who had died. Pretty creepy stuff.

once i was sleeping and i woke up to what i thought was a baby crying....at first i thought my brother got home from going from the hospital and his girlfriend just had a baby...then when i thought abt it my brothers girlfriend wasnt pregnant....so i got up and walked towards the crying....got downstairs and it was coming from my patio....when i opened the drapes it was two cats having sex on my patio.....lol

another time i woke up to footsteps on my roof....i got out of bed and i went into my mothers room woke her up to ask her if she heard it too...she did as well...so i got my louisville slugger and headed downstairs....my mom like a half asleep dummy opened the lights....and all of a sudden the footsteps went away and the headlights of a van went on in front of the house and a black guy went running into the van from the side of my house....scariest part was that my garage was opened and my mom sent me into the garage with a knife while she waited inside the house with the door locked...

anyways these are not ghost stories...but u could see how somtimes ppl can get confused and think that theirs spiritual presences instead of what it really is

Well I know Im going to get bit for this one by all of you sarcastic TA's that like to post those pictures.. but anywaze here it goes.

I've been living in my house for 15 years now. It was built in 1974.. so it's not extremely old, but I do however live on 25 acres of land, so who knows what is buried on it.
Ever since my grandfather died (it's been about 10 years), it's been weird around my house. REALLY WEIRD... and every single person in my family can feel the vibe, and even friends and boyfriends that have come over have felt it, and have wanted to leave and go somewhere else.
My dad actually walked into our back hall room where we have a stuffed fish hanging over a bench.. and saw my grandfather and uncle (my uncle was the one who caught it YEARS ago).. and they were staring at it.. admiring it. They didn't see my dad though.. it was like they were in another dimension. My dad has also seen a woman pass by the kitchen early in the morning.. he thought it was me sneaking up to bed, but when he goes upstairs..I was sleeping. She was supposively wearing a grey robe.. which I do not own. My dad rarely wants to discuss this, because it bothers him. haha.. He is always the one to see things.
I'll be in the kitchen late at night making something to eat... minding my own business, feeling normal, and out of NOWHERE, I will get this freaked out feeling to the point where I dont even want to move and look behind me.. instead I just make a run for it to my room. It honestly isn't fun living like this!.. I am moving out in the summer hopefully WHEN I FIND A FREAKING JOB.. so I don't have to deal with these ghosts anymore. Even though it's most likely just my grandfather.. it still creeps me out.
My mom has been touched before, thought it was my dad home from work, sneaking in to scare her but it turns out he wasn't home.. and there was nobody behind her.
My mom is big into antiques as well. So we think there is a lot of spiritual attachment to these pieces that my mom owns. She has a player piano (CREEPY), old record player, old furniture.. just really creepy stuff. Our whole house is antiques.
There are certain rooms in my house that are more creepier than others. The guest room, hallway, sometimes the kitchen, and the sitting room in our basement (NOT THE COLD CELLAR THOUGH.. which is odd). I will often see shadows, and hear things when I come home at night, but once Im inside the house there aren't noises anymore.
A long time ago, me and an ex boyfriend were taking a bath, and we were just sitting there (lol), and we heard "saaaarah".. really quiet though!.. we looked at eachother and did NOT MOVE.. then we heard it again, and were like.. okay.. let's get the F#%(& out of here. (this happenned during the day too), we ended up going out for the day to get out of my house. My dogs see things all the time that aren't there. This Easter that just passed my chocolate egg started to roll back and fourth on my plate next to me, then stopped when I looked down at it. Also the light turned off (not on a timer), and it made the turning noise.. EVERYONE in my family was there and saw it.. we all had to move to the other room. lol. Anywaze..there is so much more that I won't even get into.. but the really really weird stuff tends to happen around special occasions and holidays (christmas, etc)..but.. the vibe is always there.. and it's crreeeeeeepy!

hihihihih @ the kiddo

Aaaaaaaanyways, I don't believe in any of those things, but it does sound creepy

Posted by Uisgdlyast on May-04-2002 20:01:

Its one of those things you have to experience to believe..

This one time i saw blue spckling dots, heard a helicopter sounds and some wierd gibberish, couldnt understand it. A few seconds later i was like "whoa shit" and filled up two more balloons of nitrous, the gibbrish is the same and i cant seems to write it down accurately but anyways it wasnt the crack that caused it

OK ghosts, here's my theory...

EITHER

(1) The C.I.A are using people with e.s.p to remote project themselves into your houses so they can snoop around look at your stuff, see what you're up to. They've already admitted they use them to help solve crimes and even snoop on foreign powers.

OR

(2) It's people from the future travelling back in time to remote view events and study what is now, their history.

Or both of the above.

SO when Waxen said she was in the bath with her ex-boyfriend, 'just sitting there', HA!, they were the subject of a year 2102 college history class on early human mating rituals being remotely viewed by a class of voyuer students.

)

HAHAHA!!!!!... You know what. That is a WHOLE different thread, because I believe in that stuff as well. (I wouldn't be surprised!). It was a woman though, that whispered it.. and how did she know my name?. tee hee. The government has so much stuff going on... you would not believe!
Two Words----> ART BELL !!!!... listen to AM 640 for guys (Mojo radio) and listen to the art bell show on every night from around 1-6am... they bring up a lot of different issues and aspects of things. It's really interesting. They also like to discuss ghosts a lot.

BUT... explain how my grandfather was seen though?.. he isn't just some stranger snooping around looking for stuff.. he's family. So I don't get that part.

Ok, here is something that happened to me when i was much younger and so cannot really remember the event now, but my parents tell me the story every now and again because it's the only 'ghosty' thing that's ever happened to me. When I say 'I' did something i cannot remember doing it but just my parents telling me what i had said at the time.

So anyways, when i was about 6, me and my parents went to visit one of my dads mates. He was living by himself in this lovely old terrised cottage by the sea somewhere in the south of england. The row of cottages were really old, like 300 years+.

I had spent most of the day playing outside and when the evening came they packed me off to bed upstairs. My sister was on the bottom bunk and i was on the top bunk. My parents and this guy start talking, have a glass of wine, whatever, and the guy mentions that he thinks the house was haunted. My parents were like, yea, but the guy reconed that although he hadn't actually seen anything he felt strange presences and found objects moved from their original positions and stuff. And for some reason he had convinced himself that it was a female presence. Although without seeing anything i don't know how he assertained this. Later in the evening he brough out a Ouija board (Where you have a board with letters on and you are suppost to be able the talk to spirits etc.) They tried it out but just looked at it as a piece of fun. I was obviously in bed upstairs asleep at this point so had no idea about all this ghost stuff going on downstairs. After the Ouija board stuff everyone went to bed.

The next morning my parents got up and were getting ready when i came into the room and started playing with my toy car (I used to love my toy cars!) After a couple of minutes playing i suddenly turn around to my dad and go 'There was a lady in my room last night.' Really deadpan, Like it was a completely normal thing. My dad was just like 'Oh right, go on' Remembering the stuff his mate had told him the night before. So i explained that I had woken up in the night and turned over and then next to bed there was an oldish woman with long blonde hair and a smile. I can still remember that i was absolutely shit scared. So i pulled the cover over my head and stayed there till I had fallen asleep. My dad starts asking me questions thinking there was obviously something weird going on, so he asked me what she was wearing, and i told him that she didn't have a body. This obviously shook him up a bit.

My mum got me to draw what i had seen using crayons. I drew a big round head in the middle of the page with long blonde hair, a big red smile, and that was it! They showed the picture to the guy at breakfast and he totally freaked. We left later that afternoon and the guy moved out 2 days later.

Even now i can still sort of remember to event. I can't remember what i was but i know i was really shit scared at the time. I have no idea if i did see a ghost but i have no idea why i as a 6 year old should have bull shitted about this. In all honestly who really knows.

Another weird thing that happened to me was when i was at a very nice(350 year old) hotel/restaurant in the heart of the english countryside. I was there with my family + uncle and the manager was showing us around (My dad was thinking of doing something there.) So he shows us into the upper levels and there was this old library there. When i went in i felt really really uncomfortable. I had to get out of the room but i had no idea why. I didn't say anything to anyone at the time but thought it was a bit strange. When we got home my sister was like, omg, that library had such a horrible feeling in it and my uncle agreed also. I have never before walked into a room and had such a horrible feeling of evilness in my entire life. The best part was my dad who was like, what are you going on about, are you guys mad. And wouldn't believe us three!

Heay Waxen....

Movie producers finished the film Gladiator digitally recreating Oliver Reed. Perhaps future historians think projecting an image of someone you know or in a humanoid form is more comfortable than say an advanced neuro visualiser floating around your house.

Anyway the government knows everything about us, so they know who you are.

You probably won't see them anymore, they will have the technology to up load through time all our internet traffic and filter it with advance neural networked computer.

I guarantee they are sitting in the class right now think "F*#@ they're on to us".

Besides from some stuff when I was a kid (which perhaps have been nightmares - who knows?), I've only experienced one mysterious event. It took place when I was living at home with my parents and sister. An evening when I was in my room doing some homework and listening to trance real loud, there was a knock on my door, and my sister asked if I would help her with some math-problem. I called out that she should come in so we could talk about it, but she said that I'd have to unlock the door for her to come in. "Stupid cow", I thought while getting to the door. I never locked my door - only closed it so the rest of my family didn't have to listen to my music any more than they had to - but when I got to it, it *was* locked. Man, I wasn't much help with that math-problem.
I don't know what scares me the most: some supernatural explanation or the possibility that I myself decided to lock it (which can't be ascribed to habbit) without knowing afterwards.

On a more general note, I think that the existence of ghosts/spirits/energies isn't something that can easily be ruled out. We as human beings are equipped with the ability to detect and sense light and (what comes to the same thing) sound, smell and physical contact. All of them being independently interpreted by our brains - that is, if we'd been blind all our life, we would probably not be sure whether objects reflect light and what purpose that would serve. If we were unable to hear we would probably not expect soundwaves to be existant and/or having enough power to be used as communication channels.
Now, there could be some other part(s) of reality that we are not able to sense that easily and as such regards as non-existant, although given the right circumstances (emotional, physical etc.) our spiritual perception ability sharpens and we are able to sense that part of the world. It would certainly explain why ghost are often reported seen in old houses or by someone who wakes in the middle of the night in the borderland between sleep and awake - situations where we are mentally distracted from the view of the world we have built up throughout our lives.

Anyway that's just a homespun philosopher talking, ignore it if you want.

Invisible Grin

Seriously!.. My house isn't that bad though, but at times.. I just want to get out! haha..
Lately, nothing weird has happenned, but things do happen frequently.
Someone earlier had mentioned things being moved around. A lot of my stuff goes missing for days at a time.. then re-appears in the place I knew I left it. (And no.. it's not like I didn't look hard enough).

Stella.. hey! I like your thoughts on this matter. It raises a lot of questions and ideas. I never really thought about it that way, but now that I think about it.. that's kinda creepy. To know that there are students in the future watching us. I don't know about that, but it's an interesting theory!
It makes me feel like I have no privacy!!!!
lol
