Gear Shops In London
Hello,
Can somebody please recommend a cheap store for buying hardware gear in the UK specific I London ?
Im considering buying the Blofeld but i cant find good deals like i find them on the internet and due to some problems I cant buy from the internet so Im stuck here
Some UK citizen help me please
thanks
www.thomann.de is a good store which ships all over europe. I bought a couple of things there and they're not expensive compared to the regular shops we have here in The Netherlands
.
I think he means to find a walk-in music gear store, as he can't have his identity information shooting across the internet pending an ongoing pedophelia case.
...or have I said too much?
Im going to the UK next week and i don't think Thomann ships to hotels
and even if yes i don't think i will be able to follow the process of buying and shipping since im not in front of my PC
but yes Thomann is really amazing
'click'
"Room Service."
"Yes, I'll have eggs and bacon as well as a Blofeld."
"A blow-what!?!?!"
"err.. umm.. just eggs. eggs and bacon would be fine."

Go to Digital village or Turnkey they have shops in london.
Turnkey is very central - just near Tottenham court road station
why cant I find the Blofeld on their websites?
Its possible that they don't have them in stock yet. Might be a good idea to email them and ask if they'll have them in stock by the time you go there.
Go to Turnkey. They have a price beat guarantee for Europe. Yes, that means they are legally bound to beat any real price in Europe (even Thomann). They are also the largest pro audio retailer in Europe so their stock and kit is generally the biggest selection. Because they are the biggest you'll find their prices are generally the lowest.
Tip: Get quotes from other shops for items you would like if the Turnkey advertised price is higher. walk in there with the money and keep trying to beat them down.
kool i will do that if they have it
I think Piccadilly Circus has a Virgin Megastore with a pretty awesome gear store in the basement when I went. Nice selection.
'sound control' also have a price beat policy. just find out how much the cheapest you can find it in uk is. and maybe print the advert?
i got a lot off my last purchase and they threw in some free cables to keep me sweet

Forget any decent after sales service... they are just box shifters with a big flashy storefront. I - and any company or person i ever work with, contract to, or advise- will never put a single cent, penny, euro, pound, dollar, shekkel, dinar or any other unit of currency their way every again. Yes they pissed me off THAT much. (yes I know you used to work for them Rann- nothing personal ) |
No one has the Blofeld strange
I just wanted to chip in with another great site, from which you can buy what you need: playback-europe.com
It's where I've been buying all my stuff - amazing prices compared to Norwegian stores (at least), and are usually slightly cheaper than thomann, since you don't pay for shipping if you buy for over 500 euro.
