How can I make people happy?

In the last 2 weeks, the events in my life came crashing down and brought on a severe bout of depression, in the middle of which I realized that people (everyone around me, from friends to that nice janitor lady) who I basically ignored are the most important thing in my life. In short, I'm now much more open, friendly, easy to laugh, and think in terms of the other person's point of view instead of my own. I really want to make those around me happy but realized that I pretty much have no idea how to do it. I'm always ready to give a sympathetic ear, and am really interested in what people have to say, I won't judge, but past this I've no idea what to do. My friend says that practice will make perfect, but in the meanwhile I'd love to hear some stories or examples from like-minded (or not) people .

This post reads a bit convoluted but I'm not too good with words, especially when talking about shit like this. Make best of it? Thanks!

Entertain them by producing a short, silent black & white film.

And if you do have to, make sure you cough loudly to cover up the farting/splashing noises.

you don't need a window to use a plunger...or do you?

ooops, i misread your post. i give courtesy flushes so there's no clogging. or sometimes i'll make a sound like i flushed the toilet, put the lid down, and then it turns into a surprise gift for whoever goes in after me.

I was intrigued by this vaccuum-sealed room that required no plunger, though.
