Diabolique's FIRST up & comer Bio
LUKE T

Originally known as Waxx, Luke T burst onto the music scene as a Trance DJ with a knack for putting a creative twist on each performance. Ever since putting headphones to ear and decks to hand, Luke quickly made a name for himself as a resident DJ with the wildly successful Transcendence crew hosted by UK DJs Stewart Rae and Dan Ainsworth, leading to guest appearances with the Krankin and Frantic crews and a plethora of Melbourne clubs including Altitude, Club Odeon, Tilt, Loop Bar and Watermark, to name a few.

Meanwhile, a residency at the famous lounge/bar BimboDeluxe gave him an opportunity to experiment with different tunes and beats to a different crowd. Soon, Luke was mixing it up between genres from trance, deep-house, electro and his personal all-time favourite genres, tribal & progressive house.

The transition from the driving euphoric melodies into chunky basslines and pounding tribal beats stirred a new creative spirit in this DJ to reinvent himself in the genre which originally stirred his love for the tribal/progressive scene.

Having discovered the true calling of a deep-rooted sound, Luke has reverted to his own name in true reflection of the change in his musical direction. To Luke, each set is treated like a musical journey, with each track escalating into another, plotting agraph for this musical storyteller. As an up and coming DJ to the Melbourne underground scene, Luke has already played B2B with DJ Promo. In an event he visualised and co-organised, Departurez at Insignia demonstrated Lukes true potential as a performer, with a creative composition of live percussion and violin layered over his progressive house/trance tunes.

Luke cites Nick Terranova, Antoine Clamaran, Aldrin, BT and Armin Van Buuren as his major inspirations.

Really looking forward to seeing Luke play
His demo was impressive

Rollin Connection are the duo of Darius Bassiray and Daniel Banko who are leading the pack of new young Australian DJ's with their unique blend of deep sounds.

Anyone who has caught sight of a Rollin Connection set can attest one underlying factor which always remains evident - its for the dance floor.

Their unique deep techy sound has taken them to the dancefloors of Melbourne, Sydney and Bangkok for parties such as Darkbeat, Sunny, Private Function, Fractured, Loose Kaboose, Spice, Vinyl Nations, Volume, Future Breaks, Earthcore, and Renaissance to name just a few.

They have supported Lee Burridge, Mathew Jonson, James Holden, James Zabiela, Clive Henry, Michael Mayer, Petter, Chris Fortier, Hybrid, Jonathan Lisle, Anthony Pappa, Hernan Cattaneo, Infusion, Phil K, Habersham & Numinous, Nubreed, Lexicon Avenue, Meat Katie, Gary Dubbs, and John Delegelis, with 2007 looking just as busy.

Rollin Connection have also been giving studio time a priority - their first collaboration "Drive By" recently being picked up by Proton Music and is set to be released in Feb, 2007 with Nubreed, Kaybee and Ozzie LA remixes confirmed.

Darius also had 3 records released last year and another 4 lined up for release in 2007 - Check www.myspace.com/dariusbassiray for info on Darius' other solo and collaborative productions.

Bassiray & Banko are the two driving forces behind the successful party 'Darkbeat' which has been running in Melbourne for 3 1/2 years. With 2006 their biggest year - Darkbeat will continue to be one of Melbourne's leading deep parties!
