Any chess players in here?

With Bobby Fischer's death today, one of the best chess players in the world has left us.

Which reminds me that I really do like to play chess quite a bit, being Russian and all I think every kid there learns it, it's whether you pursue it or not.

In college we used to stage floor tournaments in our dorm, it was awesome, I was champion quite a few times, but I'd get beat too.

I love the game, it requires a lot of future-thinking and intellect. Strategic planning etc. Always have to evolve with your strategy. I love spanking guys that use the same strategy over and over again.

Anyone know of any websites that I can play during work that don't have a time-limit? That is I can make a move, and go do work, get some shit done and then come back to make my next move if the guy playing opposite of me has done his. I hate playing on Yahoo! because people get SOO impatient.

...word, I'm a total nerd, I know.

when i was young back in mother russia, i used to play chess religously with my grandpa (good old times) but yea, haven't played in a long time, maybe i'll install my copy of chess master on my comp again.

my grandad used to teach me too from about age 4 & we'd play every week that he came for dinner until he died. Since then i've barely played. I don't think I remember much at all about the game.

And i thought the best player in the world was the psychic kid from x-files

can you play draughts (checkers) ? You have to be the whites though cos I have a bigger ass, therefore qualify as the blacks
