Most expensive man in the World

We won't sell Ronaldo - Man Utd
Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo joined Man Utd in a 12.2m deal in August 2003
Manchester United chief executive David Gill insists the club would never sell Cristiano Ronaldo, amid reports Real Madrid are lining up a 50m offer.

"There's no chance of us selling him, no way, whatever the bid," he said.

"Cristiano signed a new contract last season to 2012 and we are not a selling club. (Manager) Alex Ferguson has never let a player go he didn't want to.

"He is happy here. Alex knows Ronaldo's mind and what he's about - everything about him is Manchester United."

Interview: Man Utd's Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo is featured on BBC's Football Focus on Saturday, and the Portugal international says the team need to win trophies to prove their worth.

606: DEBATE
Obviously as a United fan, I believe we are the greatest team in the country, but I have massive respect for Arsenal

Ferguson says the current squad, who are in the hunt for the league, Champions League and FA Cup titles, is the best he has had but Ronaldo told Football Focus: "Individually, the talent is great.

"But if we don't win anything, people will say this is not the best group of players. Trophies are the most important thing."

United signed Carlos Tevez, Nani, Anderson and Owen Hargreaves last summer to bulk up their squad after winning the Premier League last season.

But they were beaten in the FA Cup final by Chelsea and were knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage by AC Milan.

Ferguson has already lauded the quality at his disposal and Ronaldo has echoed his manager's sentiments.

"I would say in my time, maybe this is the most talented United team," he added.

For me, he is an exceptional player

Cesc Fabregas on Ronaldo

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has won praise from Arsenal rival Cesc Fabregas.

"He (Ronaldo) is amazing," said Fabregas, whose table-topping Arsenal side are two points ahead of United.

"I admire his physical body, his power, he is so quick with the ball and he has such strength.

"He is a player that at any moment can score a goal for the team and make the team win - even if it is a header, left or right foot.

"For me, he is an exceptional player."

He added: "It is good that people say they enjoy watching Arsenal, but when I watch teams like Manchester United, I really enjoy watching it myself."

Welcome to a month ago. Oh and Zidane's transfert cost 75m to the putos. 75m = ~ 56m.

Once again you fail.

Messi of Barca has a buyout clause of over 150million euros

David Villa Sanchez of Valencia's buyout clause is 85million pounds

Ronaldinho's buyout clause is 100million pounds too

Ronaldo has none. Spanish transfer law requires it, british doesn't, but each of these 3 are worth as much as him at least.

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/questio...13133609AAmWJH4 for Lionel. the rest I also googled, knowing them to be high.

Ronaldo is a great player, there's no doubting it, but I think Messi is slightly better than him. Both are excellent though. Imagine them both behind David Villa

Cristiano's is a bit rhetorical. In the uk, the longer the contract, the more you can ask for them, so he'll be decreasing in value slowly until he signs another one, when he'll peak again.

Messi.. ok. Ronaldinho had huge hype a while ago (and IMO used to show a matching level of talent in the field) but right now? And I really like and rate David Villa but he's nowhere near in terms of hype, and although I haven't seen Valencia games in a while, I really doubt he's playing as well as Ronaldo.

So basically only Messi might be worth as much as Ronaldo, and I've got some doubts there too.

Well Villa's injured. The big player value wise will be Bojan Krkic who's already being compared to a young Ral
