The Kids in the Hall

Anyone else here a fan?

Definitely one of my favorite sketch comedy shows of all time - and I was browsing Deep Discount this morning and saw that the whole series was available in a box set for around $100 - so I picked it up straight away.

In any event - I guess this thread could serve as another "RJT thanks Canada for something" thread from here on out.

Poutine is great too.

Here's the link to the boxed set if anyone is interested:

http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewpro...oductId=5737805

110 Episodes - 9 Compilation/Clip Show Episodes = 101 episodes for $99.

Better deal than iTunes

Edit: Though I really don't understand why this needed to be 20 discs.

They were sort of like Monty Python. It's either hilarious, or not funny at all.

I didn't see it during its initial run, but ComedyCentral used to have it one sometimes. I liked it a lot, I can only remember a few skits though.

monty python was better. so was fawlty towers. british or psuedo-british comedy > canadian comedy > american comedy

Pretty funny stuff from these guys. However, for Sketch comedy that now has bit the dust. The Upright Citizens Brigade will remain my favorite.

Also own the whole series of Mr. Show - and *hopefully* The State will finally see its DVD release this Spring (fingers crossed).

I'm a complete gimp for sketch comedy.

Just thinking about these shows, I just went over to youtube to try to catch some classic sketches (Bong Boy being one of them).

To my dismay, none are to be found, due to Copyrights I'm sure.

First two seasons of UCB are out on DVD and iTunes.

I'll agree. However, from what I remember, most of what I saw was just not funny. There were some funny bits which were hilarious, but for the most part I just didn't like it.

Rob, All I'm trying to watch is the one 'Skydiving' sketch from UCB. Then I'll be happy. I've only seen it once and I recall laughing for liteally 5 minutes before I could compose myself.
