Drinking beer after lip piercing

Supposedly until it totally heals, I am not supposed to drink beer. Does anyone have an explanation or tips regarding this?

yes, pouring vodka over open wounds actually does help heal them. plus get you drunk, since its going straight into the bloodstream.

Probably due to the yeast in the beer.

Vodka is a great disinfectant but if you drink too much then you're just going to slow down the repair process in your lip anyway, and if you bleed could potentially bleed more. Burns like hell though so I don't think you'll actually want to drink it though
