I KNOW you people hate hearing this but..
My baby just died.. that is, my Alesis Photon 25. =[
She lived for about 2 years and I think she died too young a death. But I did use it prob on avg 2-3 hours everyday so I'm not sure if I got my moneys worth.
I'm on the search for a new midi keyboard and decided as much as I liked the Alesis, 25 keys just won't be cutting it anymore for the melodies I like making now in days. Octave buttons are convenient but not in the way I need them to be.
I'm a broke college student and since I got the Alesis off ebay thats where I'm looking for my new keyboard. I only have around $150 to spend and was looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/Novation-ReMOTE...ohost
ing
49 keys is exactly what I'm looking for but I honestly know shit about what is the best on the market because I'm always making music rather than researching things like this.
If anyone has a better recommendation for around a similar or less price I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to focus on a board that will have more longevity than 2 years but I'm not sure how long these things typically last cause the Alesis was my first.
Any advice at all would really be appreciated, thanks!
just get a behringer
good call
I like this one right here any other opinions are more than welcome!

VERY well priced btw.
I just got the M-Audio Axiom 49 two days ago to replace an older keyboard I had, and let me tell you I LOVE THIS THING. It's so awesome, I'm so happy with it, worth every penny. They also make a cheaper 25 key, check it out.
