-- keyboard messed up
keyboard messed up
i have a HP Pavilion dv6000 notebook and I somehow pressed some combination on my keyboard that has messed up my question mark key.
when I try to type a question mark I get this --
wtf
any suggestions on how to return the key back to normal

press all your buttons randomly and hopfully a key that is stuck will become unstuck.
go to the control panel, click on the keyboard, make sure it is set to english (US), English (Aye Mate) or whatever dialect you use.
yah been trying that... no go so far.

hey I just noticed its a problem with firefox only. works fine in ms word and notepad.
format
IN firefox go to the Tools>options>content>Fonts and colors (select Advanced)
select Western (ISO-8859-1) in character encoding and Fonts for western
Cum will do that.
Being in Canada can do that to you.
restart
fixes everything
earlier tonight for some reason, my friend alt-tabbed out of counter strike (my computer has problems, and generally will crash if you do that). anyways, it didn't crash, but he went to google and clicked the text box, and started typing. backwards. it'd type a letter, then hit home essentially
so he searched for w/e it was, some camera thingy i think, by typing it backwards

wow yalls suck.
in windows there is this great thing called the LANGUAGE bar. its down by the system tray. check to see what abbreviation it shows. if it doesnt show EN then hit Left alt+left shift and it will change. this is very useful if you use other character sets and learn the keyboard layouts. have fun anf!
