Help: can't remember name of a movie

Someone posted a preview for a movie a while ago (maybe six months or a year?) that was about people living in the western U.S. / desert because they wanted to be free of government regulation and "normal" society. Anyone remember what the movie was called?

thats not a movie, thats the FLDS

(/gays too)

Nah, I'm pretty sure these people weren't living out there for religious reasons.

Does anyone at least remember seeing the trailer that I'm talking about?

sick movie. Not sure if it has anything to do with what you're talking about, but its a sick movie anyway.

I don't think it had any big name actors, and in fact I think I remember it being a documentary, or at least having a documentary "feel" to it.

No, the movie was about modern times.

It does, I swear.

Maybe the person who posted that trailer doesn't post here anymore or something.

Do you know anything else about it? Do you think it already came out?

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Jan-21-2008 23:26:

I think it already came out.

I'm certain that I saw the trailer because I remember posting it on another board after first seeing it here. But I've posted at a bunch of boards and I have no clue now which one I posted it on.

The people in the trailer seemed fond of guns and personal self-defense but I'm pretty sure they weren't "survivalist" types.

I just browsed through all of Netflix's new documentary releases and couldn't find it. There's a documentary about Burning Man though, that might be cool

Posted by mezzir on Jan-21-2008 23:55:

can you remember what it was about gov't regulation that they didn't like?
aka what made them 'not normal'?
cause if you can remember that it shouldn't be too hard
but right now my money's still on mormons

He said it wasn't religious. Otherwise that would be WAAAYYY easier to look for
