Any clubs that play trance in Vegas?

Hey guys, don't know if some of you have ever been to Vegas (I've driven through once before), but I just arrived yesterday -- livin' the life, as usual - and I'm trying to figure out where I want to go out possibly on the weekend.

I asked several people at the mall if they knew of any clubs that might be playing trance music and none of them were very sure what "trance" was so I told them it was similar to "house" music and they were all like "oh yeah, I love house music....I'm big into clubbing". They mentioned several places that spin house music and even something about a "Ministry Of Sound", which of course, conjures up images of cheesy trance in my head, but in all reality...what do you do? You either listen to cheese or don't go clubbing at all!

So pretty much, there are dozens of clubs which play house and hiphop in the area, but I was wondering if anyone who has possibly been here before would have a recommendation for me?

i don't remember going to any clubs last time i was in vegas although i sure as hell could have, but thats besides the point. i would try the regional thread, more likely to find some vegas residents or frequent visitors

I remember there was a club called Ice that was on a reality TV show. It's supposed to be one of America's best known clubs. That's all I know about it, hope it helps.

Yeah, I heard that they closed.

Yea, Empire afterhours is your best bet. They have a good mix of good house djs and trance. I recently played there with Andy Moor. They have a talent buyer there, Jeff, who is a big trance fan and tries to work out trance events whenever possible.
I will be back there for a Perfecto night on Feb 16th.

There are some other Casino Nightclubs that do occasional headliners be sure to look around town for ads to see whos in town when you are there.
But yea, check out Empire Afterhours on Thursday, Friday & Saturday. I do think that pre 2am on Saturday that it is commercial house and hip hop, so show up late.
