question for those gainfully employed - deadbeats take a walk

what's your work's personal cell phone policy?

well since I'm a flight instructor, my employer mandates that we always have our cell phones on during the work day, so that way my students can always reach me if they need to cancel a flight, or for any other reason.

We arn't allowed to have our cellphones with us once we're inside the work place. I guess cause we can steal SD cards and stuff, but it's not super strict cause i've accidently brought it in a few times and security guards are like 'heyyyyyyyy....move along'

surely you have to turn your mobile off until you are safely in the terminal though?

It's not a problem for me, but I could manage without it - I have a company blackberry.

Every job I've had so far, the policy was no cell phone calls except for break time and emergencies. Never had a problem with it, but of all the teenage girls I've ever worked with (at least a douzen), not one managed to respect it.

Should've reported some of them - might've gotten me a nice promotion. But I'm really a softie on the inside.

I get a Everything free on my work cell its all you can talk and all you can do with any feature offered by the service provider......

yeah, ive always figured the systems on planes are shielded enough to prevent interference from small appliances.

The official policy is that we're not even supposed to have them with us in our pockets (even if they're turned off) while we're working. If we're off the clock, we're not allowed to make calls on the floor in front of customers because it could be misconstrued as "rude."

Nobody follows it, though. Not even our store director.

They aren't allowed through the security checkpoint.

no cell phones on the OPS Floor. and no cell phones w/in 20 feet of the Vault.

No cell phones... besides, who would want to carry a cell phone running around in Iraq... in the middle of a fire fight.. RINGTONE "I'm in love with a stripper" and some guy goes, "Hold on, cover me I gotta take this"

dont use it...but its pretty lax where i work as long as i get all my work done.

Hm...I actually don't think there is a cell phone policy at work. I always have mine on me, but I only answer it if it's convenient...which is just about never, lol.

We can do whatever we please as long as the work gets done.

We must always have our phones turned on and be available to answer them except during meetings or on vacation. My employer pays all cell phone expenses.

I have a company cell which I am expected to answer 24/7, so my personal cell policy is 'not in front of the guests, anything else is my fucking business'

If I go out, I forward my company cell to my personal one...I've actually taken a call from a client while at CZ ecause I didn't recognise the number...made for interesting conversation during thier event on the Monday.
