i recently coughed up some blood, so the doctor got me some prescription bottle of cocillin-etyphin or something. it's got morphine in it. tastes horrible, but i sure feel the effects of it. is it the same stuff as robotussin? my stuff makes me really sleepy, and i don't take more than 10ml at a time.

They have gel tablets also.

The only time I experienced DXM was about a month ago and it kinda sucked. I felt happier than usual but I didn't hallucinate or have an "out-of-body" experience.

It's possible to extract the DXM out of the syrup. It's only mildly difficult

Don't. Dayquil has acetaminophen, which can cause big problems (internal bleeding) in large doses.

If a cough syrup has any active ingredient other than DXM, it's best not to mess with it.
