Sequencers for OSX (Leopard)?
I don't have a whole lot of money to spend, but I really want to make some music. I used to use FL Studio and Live-4, but I don't have that available now. Any decent free sequencers (with VSTi support) for OSX?
not free, but logic express is ridiculously cheap if you get it with a student discount
if youre not a student, im sure you can find someone who is lol.
Some of the sellers on Ebay selling student versions of Cubase 4 aren't asking for student I.D. There were some insanely cheap versions on there a couple of months back. Not sure what they are going for now though...
logic express is $75AUD. it would be about $60US.
suprisingly, it is pretty much the equivalent (feature-wise) of cubase studio.

What are the Lite versions of Live like?? I have plenty of Lite versions of Reason and Live that have come with most if not all of my hardware. Never used 'em.

I couldn't find an education license for logic express (I looked on the apple online store). Where would I find such a thing?
I did find some nice deals on educational cubase, but I can't find a demo for OSX, so thats really disappointing.
you will probably need to go to a retailer. try calling apple!
cubase has never had demo versions, as they use a dongle.
I found it on the apple education store, but it was 180USD, which is still a pretty good deal.
Cubase uses a dongle?? What does that mean?
It would be really nice to try it out before I fork out the money...
A dongle is a piece of hardware you need to plug into your box in order to use the software.
logic
'nuff said.
express or pro doesen't really matter.
i think pro is a better deal, 40 gbs of sounds, more plugins. can't go wrong.
space designer is worth half the price of it alone..love that plugin.
also do not get the academic version, you will not be entitled for the update price when and if you want to update to 9.0 when it comes out.
I think its only a 20$ discount anyway.
What about wave editors for leopard?
