March of The Penguins

i couldn't find a previous thread about it, but has anyone seen this?

i've wanted to see if for a long time, and it was on the Discovery channel on Sunday night - perfect timing since i was stuck on the couch with a hangover - but i ended up passing out before it was over. it reminded me of the one scene from Planet Earth about the emperor penguins, except it's narrated by Morgan Freeman and it goes into much greater detail about how the penguins survive and reproduce in such a cold climate.

i ordered the DVD off Amazon yesterday. can't wait to watch it again... except the one scene where the egg cracks open on the ice. i wanted to cry!

If you want to learn about penguins and you're a girl, I guess that's a good movie to watch. If you're a guy, however, watch this:

...title in the file name (if you have to ask ) ...all you need to know about penguins, plus some icing on the cake lol

I've always wanted a pet penguin. Farce of the Penguins is pretty funny, you should check it.

haha, I was just staring at my DVDs and remembered I owned this one.

It's fucking wonderful. the cinematography is awe-inspiring, the music is fantastic and the narration makes me want to fuck spotty old black men. Goil gave me a strange look the other night when she saw it on my shelf, but I don't think she should question my orientation due to the movies I own, but by the fact that I have no shame in admitting Morgan Freeman has a sexy voice.

:/

I tried to watch this movie with my roommates a couple of months ago and we all ended up passing out like halfway through. I think watching planet earth made it worse for me because I wasn't learning anything, and the scenes just got kind of repetitive.

best film ever.

I always thought it would be ten times more entertaining if Morgan freeman was standing out with the penguins in a giant penguin costume holding a microphone.

it was good but dragged on a bit...

not worth seeing again

Aw, I love March of the Penguins! A heart-warming story, beautiful cinematography and Morgan Freeman narrating in his special "Morgan Freeman" voice. Well worth a watch.

I honestly haven't seen that in ages.

You don't have to have titties to enjoy this flick. It's an incredible movie about how fucking hard it is for a penguin to get a piece of ass. you will walk away thanking god for the rub and tug.

its a good movie, about animal survival and how selfless the penguins are and their struggle to procreate and preserve their offspring. I'm surprised that they are not extinct.

Truly a remarkable species
