gross @ Heidi

one of the worst sets I've EVER heard was her playing the Get Physical party last WMC. I'll be sure to get there after she's done with her set this year

How so? Most of what I heard was pretty good albeit those were radio shows...never seen her live. Really hoping for some more get physical players...

That is kind of what I have heard...it's so hard to tell off of recorded radio shows. A DJ can sound stellar on a compilation or tweeked radio mix but can be quite the opposite in a club environment...

Imagine handing a bag of CDs to someone who has never touched a CDJ in their life. Then saying, "just put one in, let it play, put another one in, and click play whenever you feel like it." That's what she sounds like. I can overlook a crappy DJ if they're playing great tracks, sometimes... but she was worse than 'crappy.'

Trainwreck after trainwreck..

Doesn't mean I'll be skipping this party. It was probably my favorite from last year [Booka Shade, Jesse Rose, CVS] but I will make sure I am there after she's off the decks.

sitting through heidi was the worst 1.5 hours of my entire wmc last year. mixing was abhorrent. everyone else on the lineup more than made up for it though, and i am sure they will again this year.

Heidi plays some sweet tracks but she really can't mix for shit. Another one of those cases where someone said "Hey, she's made some tracks! Lets throw her out on some DJ gigs despite her not being a dj."

I really hope she's taken some time to practice and has improved this year cause yeah... she was fuckin awful. Even her RA podcast was terribly mixed, which is just shameful. I don't understand why/how someone would release something like that for their public representation.

i could go on and beat the dead heidi horse with some more of my comments on her performance last year but i'll just let it go. i am sure the promoter of this show doesn't appreciate the bashing, so i will shut up now.

all that being said, i am still really looking forward to this show and i am anxiously awaiting the announcement for the rest of the lineup.

jesse rose's myspace says he will be @ wmc this year. it would be amazing if he came back to the get physical party

I don't think it is that big of a deal. I've been to many parties where I could do without a dj or two on the bill.

Yea last year Heidi was just trainwrecking all over the place and her mixes were really pretty bad. But then again, who fucking cares when you have Claude VonStroke, Jesse Rose, Booka Shade, Dixon and MANDY tearing it up for the rest of the night and morning.

Kind of a weird lineup with Junior Boys and Noze... so they are both live electro pop type acts??
