Any buzz I may have felt about this movie (which was almost nil to begin with) vanished when I heard the trailer line: "when war is in your blood, killing is as easy as breathing". /sigh

OMG I THOUGHT THE SAME THING

You will be happy to know that that's an edited line for the commercial, and he doesn't actually say those 2 lines together

This whole movie was surprisingly AMAZING! And sometimes hilarious! There were times the entire theatre would just laugh out loud and some of the cheese that [i]is[/] Rambo! It actually really lightened it up from all the gore and gratitous violence! Seriosuly, limbs flying Everywhere!!!!

Visions of the movie came back to me... edited the thread title, lol

More important question: But is there any gratuitous nudity???

Posted by Mortyman on Jan-26-2008 23:20:

Nope no nudity. Sly doesn't even take his shirt off in the movie... which is probably a good thing He's just one bad dude!

Howard Stern was raving about this movie for like 1/2 hour on his show. Stern doesn't sugar coat anything, and he wouldn't stop talking about it!

Posted by millzy on Jan-26-2008 23:23:

I'm gonna go see this not expecting anything but lots of blood and violence and i don't think i can be disappointed movie are about fun not winning awards well for me anyways.

Yep, that's why I'm glad he didn't take his shirt off

Posted by sixtysix on Jan-27-2008 02:09:

61 or not, the movie looks awesome. Who cares if it is cheesy most action movies are but rambo is just fucking awesome

Posted by lawrenceq on Jan-27-2008 06:15:

anyone who doesnt wanna see an all out action movie with the same suspence from other rambo movies just avoid instead of whining about action flick cliche lines and whatnot. the movie rocked, felt like it was short tho? either way i love the rambo movies.
he's 61?! no way!
and for anyone asking, theres a bit of nudity, but not the kind ur looking for. remember its a action/drama set in a region full of genocide

went to see rambo last night.

Really lacked a story/plot. There wasnt much dialog or story behind the movie. it was an hour of pure shootings, heads exploding, limbs flying, etc

not bad movie nonetheless.

Hahaha...all the Rambo's are like that. not much dialogue...but then talk is cheap...action is where it's at...and RAMBO Ruled for me

That knife scene was nice...but ya...I wanted more when I left.

i only thing i didn't like was the starring at the end, they would go back and forth ... ohh the compassion on stallone's face!!

did anyone notice stallone's arm's are ginormous.. they look bigger than prior rambos... his forearms and veins were WHACK.. i give this movie a 9/10 (better plot and a little longer for 10/10)

In all fairness, the general public rated it much higher:

The difference comes, of course, from the fact that movie critics have some expectations about what movies should deliver to the viewers, while the viewers don't have any expectations for movies at all.

NEW YORK Sylvester Stallone says he used human growth hormone to get buff for the new "Rambo" movie, and defends its use.

"HGH (human growth hormone) is nothing," the 61-year-old actor tells Time magazine in its Feb. 4 issue. "Anyone who calls it a steroid is grossly misinformed."

Because it is nearly undetectable, HGH has become a substance of great concern in major league baseball and other sports battling allegations of rampant doping.

"Testosterone to me is so important for a sense of well-being when you get older," he says. "Everyone over 40 years old would be wise to investigate it because it increases the quality of your life. Mark my words. In 10 years it will be over the counter."

SPOILERS!!!

This movie was fucking sick...so much blood and guts and I didnt really expect that much but when I saw it was 18A I was excited. Crazy how he tears out that dudes throat with his hand...My fav part in the movie is when he sets the bomb up for those ******s and when it goes off the special effects were amazing. Also when hes on the huge turret blowing away those mother ******s.
