DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!! Here I come!

Alright!! I am going to the Dominican next month!!! Punta Cana!



I am excited!!

Anyone been there before? Any suggestions? Any tours/excursions I should go on?

Anyone else going on vacation?

don't drink the water. Don't tell anyone you know Ronald K or IvanD and don't bend over in the shower.

other than that it's lovely if very poor.

Punta Cana is awesome, I hear. My father went last year, and he tells me it's paradise for younger people.

Which I'm assuming means he banged some young whores. Oh, Dad!

But seriously, that place looks like a good time.

Anyhow punta cana is in the Dominican Republic..... leisure.. enjoy checking out the old parts and the river.

Tricia, which destination ISN'T cliche? I mean, anywhere you go, depending on who you're talking to could say that.

Meh, we wanted to go somewhere hot for cheap. D.R. fit the bill.

I've never been before, so it should be interesting.

P.S. Those pictures are from the resorts website. We'll be staying at an eco-resort site of 432.500 m2, where buildings occupy only 10% of the total area. Surrounding the buildings are 43.000 m2 of tropical gardens. Apparently there are a LOT of animals.

i've been there before (barcelo resorts). like others said, don't drink the water, or you'll be shitting water for like 3 weeks. ppl there are super nice and at least where we stayed, drinks were all inclusive!

Yea, I think anywhere "tropical" you can't drink the tap water. I learned that from going to Mexico. You don't even want to swallow just a tiny little bit from brushing your teeth. Makes me slightly apprehensive about bathing in it too.

We're going to an all inclusive, but it isn't really a party resort. Like I said, it's an eco-resort in the middle of nowhere. There isn't any night life. If I am drinking, it is just for the hell of it... which don't get me wrong, that's cool. LOL!

I can handle 5 mins. My ass gets burnt, but everything else gets nice and tanned. I can handle the ass burn for a while.

See what I don;t get about thes mega-huge-omg-free-drinks-&-food venues is you just stay in them and never actually see the place you goto.

Stealth EDIT: Why not make a DIY holiday.... save the planet (less air travel) make one at home... sub bed + large stock of drinks and takeaway food.

I agree... but when you have been to a place enough times... its the way to go imo.

100 bucks for a room with all you can eat and drink... cant lose.


Now if it was a place i have never been to... no thanks.
