Carl Cox & Jon Rundell @ Billboard Nightclub 27/01/08 Review

Carl cox is a orchestral god; he knows his fucking music!!!
The way he plays the crowd, his hand signals, his boppy swervy beat nods, his MCing, all to near perfection!
The tracklisting was stomping! Everything from electro house, to some ripping techno, down to progressive house; amazing!

Jon Rundall was what I expected; hard hitting twisty techno! Rippa tune of his set was Minimal Dj's Have Small Decks by This Is Massive!!! ALERT!!! NEXT BIG DJ! ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

Crowd was friendly, very decent, although there was a few PHD hoodies and syringe loving cretins, but other than that, twas nice

hell yeah agree with all that dan, was a craaaaaaaaazy night.
only decided to go on friday and glad i did it was fuckn KILLER.
Adam K & Soha - Twilight & Hybrid - Finished Symphony [Deadmau5 Remix]
were the highlights for me before everything became kinda hazy.
crowd was absolutely rockin!

only downside was i somehow managed to get fairly messy and headed home before he finished, missed out on born slippy!

sounds like a good night.

Twilight sounds amazing anywhere, so i can imagine it would've been madt with a rammed club.

Minimal DJ's Have Small Decks is also a great tune

i reckon its a great venue. has like 3 or 4 different level kinda things going down towards the stage, so can see the DJ well from wherever you are, although to the sides of the dance floor there are a few annoying poles. the 2 bars are easy to access and the toilets are pretty large.

only real downside for me is the loudness, ears are still ringing :|

Not that much into techno so didnt recognise any songs except Perspective Space We Are mashup

Carl Cox and Green Velvet have really turned me around, i thought techno was pretty boring until i heard these sets
