Notes:

- Tracks 1 & 2 were mixed in Ableton Live 6 in Session View.
- Tracks 3 through 13 were mixed on 2 CDJ 800's, a Xone 62, EFX 500, and PVDJ Looper/Grabber.
- Tracks 14 & 15 were mixed in Ableton Live 6 in Arrange View.
- Normalized and exported to 192kbps MP3 via Audacity.

So here's my first promo set in kind of a while (I think the last one was September) and it's a bit of a change from the last one. There's quite a few vocal tracks and in general what I hope is a good combination of current tunes with a couple of classics thrown in there for good measure.

In any event, I hope you all enjoy it. Thanks for listening, and as always feedback/criticism is more than welcome.

Cheers.

Why the ?

This one looks somewhat less boring than usual, I'll investigate.

I hope you don't find yourself too bored.

My fucking asshole

And that really only applies to the last one - which I hope when you hear it will make sense why I had to try to finagle it in there before mixing everything.

I know. I just thought it was funny when in his blog Hook wrote "I like to make sections before hand and have them start on beat so I dont need to use headphones"

...ok dude...

Lol, I didn't even see that post - I thought you were referring to the infamous "video"

The one thing I do wish I could figure out well is how to beatmatch Ableton back into my decks - because when I'm mixing live right now I really can only go one way (Ableton -> CDJ's).

My mate uses this too, and is also a huge fan
Very simple, and does the job perfectly

He has one.

And it is not the same as using Ableton + Decks

Actually I was only borrowing that one for a bit, couldn't afford it straight away.

Have been considering one though... for a long, long time.

I stole the original image from Google Images and made the sig in photoshop this afternoon. The original isn't that big, but I'd send it to you if you'd like.

Haven't listened to anything remotely electronic in a while. I like robots, so on the d-lo.

Posted by spc on Jan-31-2008 00:59:

probably one of my favorite mixes from you because i'm a sucker for vocal tracks, especially good ones. TAs with initials for their TA usernames always have the best taste in music

that song @ the 31 min mark is a mindfuck! i absolutely love it... ID's prodcutions never disappoint and he/she gets me bouncing everytime i hear it

Posted by RJT on Jan-31-2008 01:02:

I believe that's the upcoming EQ Grey release, and I believe it's being released in March.

And oddly enough, I'm pretty sure the biggest, if not the only reason, I am not supposed to ID it yet is because the title of the release isn't definite yet. If I find out otherwise I'll update the thread.
