Would you date a cheater?

This question is mostly for those who have never cheated in a relationship, but I guess those of you who have cheated can answer as well:

Would you date someone you knew had a history of cheating (say, two or more times) on significant others?

Nope.

Certainly not. Leopards don't change their spots.

I don't know, no matter how open-minded I am, I'd be wary of dating a cheater. She'd have to sweep me off my feet or something... and we'd have to talk about it right from the beginning.

Posted by silene on Jan-31-2008 02:07:

Sure I would, but I prefer open relationships; not sure whether that makes my opinion invalid.

It seems to me that at least some people cheat because of confines of monogamy. Opening up the relationship can solve this feeling of entrapment without actually having to screw anyone else. Cool huh?

It happens, but it's not a gamble worth risking.

Having an open relationship is different. Thats a rarity.

But in any case, a once or twice incidental thing... you know the whoops i made a mistake but told my bf/gf it was a genuine mistake, that i can look past.

But I'd never date a girl with a strong history of it. I don't want to be in the position where she could ever justify cheating on me, if she was able to justify it with the last guy. I've never cheated in any of my relationships, and I enjoy having alot of slack in my relationships because I think I have earned a trustworthy reputation.

Posted by Rodrico on Jan-31-2008 02:45:

Nope, cause once a cheater, maybe it was a mistake, but twice a cheater, always a cheater...

Posted by Frenchie on Jan-31-2008 02:46:

Cheating is not a mistake.

Desperately in love wit one who has a record for it. Though she usually only cheats with girls, i don't mind that very much, actually i find i kind of hot. As for guys im fairly certain that the only guy she ever cheated with was...well me.

If you're not cheating, you're not trying.

Ofcourse it is, you see this is why, because we as men have no clue whats the best option out there. So we cheat, and have sex with other women, only to find out that the sex was better with the first girl, therefore we made a "mistake" and come right back.

I totally missed this.

Ok so it's ok that she cheats with women? I'd feel like shit if my SO was cheating on me with the opposite sex, well..same sex as they are. That means you don't have the goods to satisfy her properly, man!

I love how its a "turn-on" that you don't completely satisfy her sexual needs as a man, and she has to turn to women to finish the job. Gotta love that male logic...

Whoa, wish I had read that earlier, would saved me some typing.

Posted by Moongoose on Jan-31-2008 03:18:

Perhaps i should have noted earlier that we are not together I just like er way to much despite all her flaws and if chance came to be i wouldn't hesitate to date her...even if she occasionally picks up a girl. Sadly we are on rather bad terms at the moment so no chance even of a one nighter like in te good old days.

Posted by gehzumteufel on Jan-31-2008 03:38:

cheating in any form or fashion is unacceptable. i personally know i couldnt get past it. as tricia said, its not a mistake. its a choice that is made because your either not satisfied or not confident in what you have. either way you should talk about the problems or end it. not worth it imho

cheaters are only good for one thing: bootycalls

I hope you're not serious.

+1

I'd date one just for the sex and end it before it gets serious.
