I actually hate doing taxes.

I just got another W-2 and another form I forgot about after I already e-filed.

So now I gotta snail-mail the amended returns AND I owe some money now which I need to write a check for

Well not everyone can afford to live in Manhattan, but even then, having your own place is just..well do I need to explain the benefits of having your own place? Failure to Launch?

i made that mistake 1 time and never again. A job is that cheap that they consider you a private contractor??

Yes it is a latin thing. It's sad to see that this is the year I've made the most money working... and I have nothing to show for but fuking rent! Cuz the drugs are already out of my system -tear-

I don't get the "I hate taxes" attitude. If you go into something with a negative attitude about it then chances are you're going to have a negative experience.

If taxes are a part of your way of life accept it. If it's cumbersome to do, or numbers/admin isn't a strong point for you then pay a tax professional/accountant to do it for you. That's what I do, it's not that hard (the challenge for me is keeping all my paperwork nicely filed over 12 months) and the consultation is tax deductible in the following financial year (well it is in Sydney anyway).

Tax time is April here in Toronto apparently. That will be interesting.
