Mouse over: Displaying the first post

It would be incredibly helpful if, when you put your mouse over a thread, if the first post would display, or if too long at least part of it

an example:

www.off-topic.net

It doesnt seem like much, but it is the details that count right!? I just love that feature

Hehe. I will have a look later. But the idea i think is a good one. Coz sometimes you open up a thread na dit is a complete waste of time.

Myabe this could b something that you have to click a bot in profile to get to work. As it may slowdown 56k users, like myself. But i doesnt sound like a very interesting idea. Something that needs to be looked into i feel

I took it out for now, it was too server-intensive.

I may just set it up to only be in effect from 7PM Eastern till 11:30 AM eastern....

Since those are off peak times

this is a neat feature as shown in some other forums, and yes it does put a toll on the server during peak hours and not to mention the 56k users

It only adds about 9k to the average threadslist - and compressed it is about 1.5k extra.. no big deal for modem users

Would it be possible to make the "pop up" stay up a bit longer because now it goes away after like five seconds when I put my mouse over a link and I can't read that fast (in English).

true it does go away quite quickly
