I just went through the SKYPE website...

and i dont know if im just dumb as fuck or if its written in arabic or if my mind is farting cause its over worked right now. but for some reason i cant understand it. whats the pricing like? to i pay once a year? how much is it? can someone just give me a quick and easy run down cause im lost with all these business packages and talking in pounds....

yes.

seriously though...you can pay monthly. I know someone who uses it all the time when calling their parents in the U.S. and they say it's rather reliable. since they don't have a land line and always use their cell, it's far cheaper (he pays $3/mth unlimited calling which sounds crazy cheap)

im not using it to talk to my gf in japan i met on mirc. i actually need it for business

I wonder how transmissions from us to Mid-Far east are going with it these days. SEA-ME-We-4 and FLAG lines are damaged. Speed is incredibly slow over there now.

our development team in Russia has one so it's great cos we're on the phone with them all day

cool! i work in the telecom industry and this is the first i've heard of this thing. the only downside i can see is if your computer crashed or the power went out you don't have a phone.
