Hiv

how long before it becomes airborn?

dinosaurs died out because of a change of environment. we will die out because we got too smart and ended up creating a killer virus we cant stop.

its like a 1980's blockbuster, only in real life.

how long we got until the human race ends?

There *are* ways of not getting HIV.

//oh wait, airborne? Uhm, is it really possible for bloodborn viruses to 'go airborne'?

ultimately everyone will get it unless we find a cure. and there aint gonna be a cure.

never happen.

HIV is highly susceptible to oxygen so no, it will never become airborne. We didn't create it either, we inherited a pretty harmless monkey virus which unfortunately wasn't very harmless to us.

HIV isn't really common among humans. I would be more afraid of another spanish flu than some hiv

thing is, Hiv was highly susceptible to certain combinations of anti retroviral drugs. then it modified itself so it was not. and a new combination is required to keep it at bay. so what happens when it becomes immune to airborn situations?

That means someone had to have sex with a monkey...

Tested negative for HIV today. SUCH A RELIEF!

Or eat it. Either way, both are probably true.

That's the thing, the chances are tiny for it to become airborne. If you do any sort of study of disease in university you would see signs why.

It's not impossible but it is virtually impossible.

As has been mentioned, I would be much more fearful of influenza strains. HIV is a relatively weak virus. It can't kill you by itself and so technically you can live with AIDS forever as long as you don't get too sick from other diseases.

viruses don't easily mutate. that's just a red herring to freak you out so people watch move tv and go buy themselves gas masks to protect themselves from bird flu.

No one thought the G-Virus would ever go airborne

Posted by justin on Feb-02-2008 05:50:

Agent Smith: I'd like to share a revelation during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You are a plague, and we are the cure.

Can only be contracted by human females. And not all have been exposed, as of yet.

G-spot.

WATCH OUT FOR THE T-VIRUS, BITCHES.

Posted by DJ Shibby on Feb-02-2008 07:54:

It won't happen.

You can make a lot of money off of palliative drugs for the ill. You can't make anything off of the dead.

Let me get this straight;

soooo ok, so someone fucked a monkey? There for spread HIV? noooo shit.

no, you can live with HIV for ever as long as you don't get another disease, AIDS is what you call it when a person is HIV positive and gets a secondary infection, if you have AIDS your fucked because you have a compromised immune system and now something else that your body can't fight off on its own.

I'm not sure, but I don't think God will be waiting for us in the finish line

This is kind of like asking, "Hey, what if humans started breathing carbon dioxide instead of oxygen?" Really unlikely...
