Girls that use fake pictures on facebook

What is with women and fake pictures. Not just fake pictures though, but I mean fake pictures of girls that have similar X [where X is, insert a random womanly possession i.e. hair, bag, cookware] in it, or it's at such a strange angle that it very well could be.

Are they trying to trick the people they already know?

Am i supposed to all of a sudden come to the realization that she's smokin' hot?

or is this some kind of sick game where they go and hit on random people on facebook just for the joy knowing that they are preforming something deceitful.

This shit is mind boggling and must be stopped.

Too much pride? I'd say they're scared. If they asked if they're hot and thin and stuff, and someone said no, they wouldn't eat for a month because they're not thin enough.
