NYC Living - Apartments

I am looking for a studio or 1 bedroom in Westchester that is an easy commute to NYC.

Where are some safe cities to look at? I have heard of Scarsdale, White Plains, Pelham, and Harrison.

Thanks!

Lol safe = Westchester... I mean a few of the "cities" have their bad sides, but it's not something to fear like Waterbury or Hartford CT - or even the bad parts of New Haven

Anyways, I commute from White Plains everyday and honestly, if you have the money for a studio that is in a nice, 'safe' part of westchester, you're better off doing the same in NYC or Queens/Brooklyn. I can't do it because I'm too poor lol, so I'm still livnig at home - if I knew of roomates in nyc i would go for it in a second!

I rent a room in a house in Mamaroneck for 5 hundo a month. I love it I have 2 slightly annoying house mates but the price can't be beat. The neighborhood is great and it's an easy commute either by public transit or driving to the city. The metro north will put you into grand central in 40 something minutes, and I can usually drive there in about 45 as well.

Aaaaaand, this has nothing to do at all with the town, but my landlord just upped the cable and we now have 800 channels! I just don't know what to do with myself!
