OMID 16B - Like 3 Ears and One Eye ...

EQ Interview - OMID 16B

He's up there with the world's finest producers, consistently creating music that sounds ahead of its time. He also refuses to play by the rules. Which is why Omid16b has given his new album, Like 3 Ears And One Eye, away free

The world is not a fair place. There are people who rake in tonnes of cash by making crap music. There are others who make mind-blowing music but never make a penny. Omid Nourizadeh otherwise known as Omid16b falls into the second category. His first album, Sounds From Another Room, still sounds as fresh today as it did when it was released 10 years ago. The follow-up, How To Live 100 Years, defies categorisation. The most recent Digweed Transitions podcast has a preview of this album. Worth checking!

Comments based on "Transitions" broadcast of his album...

His new album, although interesting from an artistic perspective, is not worthy of anything other than a listen on an ipod or home stereo.

The tracks are somewhat repetitive, lack cohesive direction and above all don't seem to inspire much more than the melody that they present.

Omid 16b deserves credit for his artistic efforts, however with productions like he has presented here he definitely won't be rocking any dance floor.
