Paul Van Dyk @ LAX - Queries of a Tourist
Hey guys,
I'll be down in Vegas for my bachelor party this weekend and am going to hit up Paul's gig at LAX on Wednesday. I have a couple questions hopefully one of you helpful TAs can answer:
Should I buy tickets online and pickup via will call or just buy tickets at the door? Will this event sell out?
Is there a strict dress code? I'm going there to enjoy the music so I'd like to wear a t-shirt, jeans & Cole Haan sporty shoes (all in good repair). Will there be an issue?
I called LAX and checked online and have had no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Chad
If you're related to van dyk i don't think you'll have a problem getting in. I'm going to be buying at the door. don't think it well sell out as there's only 140 page views on wanttickets. what you're planning to wear sounds fine. I don't like to dress up either and i never have problem getting in.

Attire: Dress code enforced
*most of the vegas clubs inside the casino requires collared shirts and dress shoes (no tennis shoes)
wish they never got rid of RA
saw some great DJs there: AvB, PvD, Icey
I don't think you need to worry about the club "selling out" an EDM show in Vegas. Kinda sucks there is so much hype for Hip Hop and other crap rather than EDMs but Oh well...At least there is something.
I'll be there too. The club is kinda nice and lots of hotties. Dont know how DJ AM and Vice will complement PVD though. Kinda interesting...
Room to move is always appreciated. Last time I saw PvD at Ice it was way too crowded...
I'm getting mixed messages on the dress code. Will a collared shirt and leather shoes be necessary Glow-Man?
I think you'll be fine. Although I'd recommend "dress to impress"

LAX is run by Pure Management. That being said, I know Pure loves to look straight at your shoes. They look for dress shoes.
As far as pre-sale goes, in my past experience of events in general. You usually guarantee your entry with presale, its faster getting and cheaper. I always recommend presale.
Thanks for the posts guys...they were definitely helpful.
I have now bought presale tickets and will be properly attired.
Feel free to say hello if you're hitting the show...I'll be the big linebacker-esque white guy on the dancefloor. I'm very easy to spot.
Every time I've been at a club in Vegas, it's dress shoes only (and I wouldn't go in with a tshirt).
LA...much different.
Wear a dress shirt over your t-shirt, then just check it at the coat check if you see other people wearing t-shirts! ![]()
So...Review?
Dress shirt or T-shirt?...or it depends how you roll.
So i guess anything goes last nite. I've seen anything from oversized dirty tees to white athletic shoes. But the women were hot.
Not much to say about the music cept that it sucked! I guess he was just playing to the tourist crowd but it's hard to find excuse for playing 3 tracks twice haha anthem, for an angel, and i forget the other one.
