asking a supposed "dead" board about other boards you can go to -- you got them book smarts.

that's funny, i seem to remember you only coming on to let people know what your life is like

I am active, but I have no knowledge past vinyl, cheap decks, and bedroom DJing.

umm theres like 435 on atm (not in a popular timezone eithwer)... you probably wouldn't get below 100 even with every person on the planets internet down. What do you mean dead?

Posted by AnomalyConcept on Feb-06-2008 06:24:

Probably lack of new posts and/or interesting topics.

One possible reason could be that there hasn't been any new equipment that's come out recently, or that nobody has actually gotten any to review.

Or maybe people are using the 'search' feature to browse for answers rather than posting new topics.

I know a few years back this section was pretty active. I guess times change and people move on.

Posted by Shini on Feb-06-2008 06:36:

there just hasn't been much interesting happening here in the DJ booth I think he means, sure things are happening but its all stuff we have seen before or is of little consequence. Thats not to say that it is dead, far from it, there is always someone on looking here, its more of a case of no one striking up any interesting debate or asking any good questions.

But hey, thats just my two cents.

Posted by skip on Feb-06-2008 14:24:

maybe i'll post a new thread then! might as well do so every time i feel like it.

Posted by ZeJayMan on Feb-06-2008 14:39:

this is pretty much the only part of the forum i still read/look at the pretty pictures.

maybe another DJM-800 vs Xone 92 would change make things more interesting!

No, he's talking about the fully functional one on this site. When has it not worked?

Posted by DarkMemoria on Feb-06-2008 18:08:

What if there were some more threads on what type of CD-decks should be purchased by someone on a low budget looking to get into DJing?

Posted by Nemesis44 on Feb-08-2008 16:25:

Hey Discobiscuit,

What you could do with your knowledge, rather than wait for someone to ask, make a tutorial or the like. I am still in the process of making a few, kind of writing an internet book based on my DJing experience, not autobiographical but more along the lines of How to DJ properly, but more in depth and more trance related. Call it the mother of all tutorials.

I don't know what sort of DJing experience you actually have but from what you say it wouldn't be a wasted effort and you could surely help with questions for sure.

I agree, those this vs that threads are a little on the flat side but if there isn't a thread out there make one.

That just inspired me to make a new poll...

Catch you laters
Cheers
Nem
